  1. There are as yet undiscovered tribes in the Amazonian jungle who knew Stephen Glass was going to be the next Dons manager.

  2. Grow up. We don't need to be told to get behind a manager, we're not fucking morons. We can objectively look at a situation and call out the glaring issues that present themselves. We don't have to blindly support every single decision in some partisan unquestioning manner. Glass will get everyone's support. There's nothing that he's done wrong.

  5. And there we have with what really pisses me off about the way an element of our support view Derek McInnes. That is a very all emcompassing statement. I struggle to comprehend that any Aberdeen fan can't see the benefit of the McInnes era. If you meant the latter stages of McInnes term then you should have made that clearer Tup.

  6. Yes and no. I’d compare brown to aitken so yes, but that was aitken supporting god. glass to willie Miller??? Miller was as much, if not more of a leader than aitken. What the fuck does glass bring???

  7. Welcome home Stephen, good to have 'one of our own' at the helm! I thought I'd start a new thread for him as he is confirmed as the new manager now and no longer speculation and I thought he deserved his own thread! More of this please Sir!

  8. Genuinely the worst thing about this whole affair is the “aberdeen way” that cormack has invented for the purposes of today’s press release ?

  9. You're missing the point here This is what those of us that wouldn't have necessarily chosen Glass actually hope for

  10. That's not what I meant, poor choice of words, sorry. I mean, he will likely not have any grudge to hold against Shay, whereas Shay will not be likely to forgive and forget.

  11. Christ boys, the guy hasn't even started and already he's being slated. I personally think it's a ballsy move bringing in someone like Brown to assist Glass knowing the blowback there's going to be. Don't get me wrong, I've hated Brown as much as the next guy but if he pulls on an Aberdeen shirt he'll have my full support. I was a supporter of McInnes although I accepted that since the end of the year the time had come to try something new. I'll support Glass 100% - if he doesn't work out then he doesn't work out but thank Christ in my opinion we didn't hire someone else like John Hughes or Tommy Wright. The standard of MLS is far better than it's given credit for and when Glass took over the Atlanta role on an interim basis they were playing in front of 50,000 people. In short, give the loon a chance. Let him try bringing through youth, different tactics and his own players. It might be a disaster, it might be an outrageous success but candidly we're here to win and sometimes that means we have to try something different... otherwise what's the point?

  12. I can assure you I'm far from convinced by this move should it happen but I wouldn't describe it as even remotely mediocre. Mediocre is bringing the likes of Alex fucking Miller in (I really don't like violence but if I ever met him I would have to fight the urge not to deck him in sight).
