  1. Think McGeouch could actually be an important player this season. Before Glass took over I was reading some American blogs to try and get a handle on how he liked to set up, and it appeared he was a big fan of one guy dropping deep and picking the ball up from defence. That was very much what Brown did against Hacken, at times playing centre of a back three, then pushing into midfield. Brown though I doubt will play 40-50 games this season, certainly not the full 90 minutes. It'll be a big ask to play 2-3 times a week, which at times we'll have to do. So he needs a back-up for that role. McCrorie possibly will be that man with Gallagher partnership Considine, but it's also a role that seems to very much suit McGeouch. The jury is still out on Ojo. Glass seems to be playing him in more of a forward role which essentially means he doesn't have to do all the stuff he's crap at - tackling, heading, closing players down. The guy I wonder about now is Dean Campbell. Not a fan of shipping players off on loan as I prefer they learn how to play in our system, but I don't know where we play him and Jenks coming in on loan pushes him further down the pecking order.

  2. I reckon we potentially have ourselves a new "cult hero" in JET.

  4. Just back. That was top drawer. Some excellent attacking play. Jet and Ferguson were excellent. Considine and McRorie a good partnership, they didn't have a lot of support at times. Ojo did okay, but shouldn't be playing out there, he doesn't offer anything and will get found out against better opposition. Unsure of Ramirez, could go either way, but he'll be good with the fans if he turns out to be good. Some hit fae McLennan. Fantastic to be back, so much better than the tele.

  5. Well those fearing a Sigma Olomouc repeat got the scoreline right. It's 80/1 for Aberdeen to win the league. Would get it on before it drops. Also, the final is due to be played in Tirana, but the stadium only holds 22,500. Surely we'll need to get the changed as no way that's going to be big enough for the Aberdeen-Roma final.

  6. The fucking BBC have re-hashed an article about Griffiths' playing ability and fitness to discuss whether his Celtic career has finished. You'd think that in the 21st century they'd fucking learn. He's a 30 year old man, alleged to have groomed an under age girl FFS. In what fucking planet should that be discussed as a function of his goal return? How good does a player have to be to allow grooming? How far can the grooming go before it results in a player losing their job? Does he have to actually meet up and have sex with the fifteen year old, or does this sports writer believe that he would have definitely stopped at the online grooming process? Seriously, if the sports writer guys aren't equipped to discuss these subjects then either train them or insist that they write only the minimum. Same goes with doddsy and co on sportsound who will inevitably make the same crass analysis. It's never fucking acceptable for a thirty year old man to groom a fifteen year old (the BBC states under-age). This fucking attitude will allow a club (us, perhaps) to think it's acceptable to hover over the corpse of Griffiths' Celtic career hoping to pick up a "good player" on the cheap. If the allegations are true, and there are no mitigating circumstances, then hopefully it'll be the end of his career.
