McCrorie has done absolutely nothing wrong. He’s a human being who went to support his family and friends. So what. Get fucken over it. It’s the same as has been mentioned in a separate topic with the lack of love and support shown to Lewis Ferguson even though he’s been our players if the year (yes he has!) this season and scores plenty goals for us. The support are happy to sing about Ojo who has been pish for us but conversely don’t dare sing for Ferguson who apart from one season, has been very good for us…all because of pettiness. No doubt McCrorie will be the same now! Beggars belief!! As long as they are ‘Aberdeen’ on the pitch when they are doing their job, that they are paid to do, then that’s what matters.

Jimmy took us from 11th to 4th (level on points with hibs in 3rd) and the same points total Hearts achieved this year in one season. Did it by; Adding Severin, the Paatelainen brothers (0 appearances), Craig, Adams, Kristjanssen (1 start), Jamie Winter, Whelan, Pasquinelli, Dempsey (amateur at the end of the season 0 starts), Byrne, Blaha (2 starts) and Illic (0 appearances). Getting rid of Hinds, Sheerin, Booth, Rutkiewicz, Tiernan, Zdrilic, Prunty, and some youth players. Pretty impressive when you look at it. Bar Seve, some amount of mediocre averageness and absolute shite in the signings.

You're right, I can't deny that if we were better in midfield and forward there would be less defending and less pressure. That's why I've said so in every reply. You're initial point was that you think that Bates and Gallagher would be a fine pairing for next season (that's the point I've been arguing against until now for avoidance of doubt). I'm saying that there are fundamental issues with that pairing that would suggest otherwise; and lots of them. Putting better midfielders (which I've suggested we might struggle to get better than Ferguson, Brown, McRorie and Barron) might paper over a few cracks. If we get a good front line, we might even score more than we concede. The evidence is fairly overwhelming that they've been terrible as a partnership though, you're definitely the one with the controversial opinion here, in case you're in any doubt! Lastly, I doubt anyone would accuse me, ever, of not digging deeper to make a point!

Given the state of some of the dons support who can be found singing such songs there is a consderable amount of Irony and delusion in the red army.

I sort of agree with it, it’s a bit crass really making fun of people because of their socio-economic status which is often largely out of their control. Best sticking it to them based on their behaviour and character traits. Which fortunately allows us to continue reminding Rangers/Celtic/Dundee United/Hearts/Hibs fans that they’re scum (and they know they are).
