  1. I think that's a bit unfair. A lot of people have busy lives that are usually focused entirely round their kids. Free time is a very finite resource to them and going to watch a team that isn't playing very well isn't as desirable as it once would have been.

  2. A fishscales pairing at the back would be excellent.

  4. Agreed. Especially with Aberdeen fans being present in both sets of supports. Evil bastards those cunts.

  5. Hearts announce Naismith as manager except he’s not the manager. They have had to name him as technical director as he does not have his UEFA coaching qualifications and cannot manage in Europe.

  6. It wasn’t funny the first time.

  7. Quite ironic that the Hun support actually bailed out another club.

  12. I doesn't reflect well on anything but Celtic, but perhaps giving a fuck what England think about our game is an insecurity we'd do well to avoid. I hope he fails cause he's a dirty Tim dick. But mainly because it would show that being successful at Celtic is a barometer of nothing, because John Hughes could do it.

  13. That's actually what I meant, but couldn't work out the grammar to make it obvious.

  14. Summer? Months away May try and take the boys to the mountain half-way up the north island this winter though. UK trip and cost of living hammered our savings this year, but hoping my folks are able to come over during the summer. Will be making the most of the in-laws campervan too. Been a weird winter so far, second month in and it's the first proper cold day we've had. Definitely not had the rain that @Reekie_Red has suffered, nor the East Coast this year. Been very bizarre. Must be luring us into a false sense of security.

  15. "Success" breeds success. A lot of casual fans will be tempted by a perceived better product. Don't think it's just football fans either, people will always want to see a winning team and be entertained.

  16. This will seem a strange choice, but the 3-0 League Cup final defeat to Celtic in the 16/17 season. Performance wise we were really poor, didn't really turn up and were easily turned over. But my main memory was how quiet the support was. Just very few making an effort. I was in amongst many of the old Red Ultras boys and every chant we tried to get going failed, no-one was interested. And it also hit home at the time how few chants we actually had. Was just a really depressing day. I never thought I'd ever leave a cup final early but we walked out with 15/20 mins to go just fed up. It didn't feel like we were in a cup final at all. Felt like all the life had been sucked out of us. I've been at all but one of every single shocker - Stenhousemuir, Darvel, Queen of the South, Skonto Riga, Bohemians, both 7-0s to Celtic and the 9-0, and the 6-1 (?) to Livingston. If I'm missing any others, chances are I was there. Think the only one I've missed was the defeat to Queen's Park. But I knew after every one of those that it was a shite result but in time we'd bounce back because we always do. But that day at Hampden I felt so disenchanted with everything. A few months later we were totally different in the Scottish Cup in terms of performance and atmosphere. And these days I think our support might be the best it's ever been, and huge credit to Ultras Aberdeen for that.
