  1. So not Michael O'Neill then. Never mind. He'll still be a hero as a former player..... He's probably done well enough out of the whole situation, using Aberdeen to let everyone know he'd be willing to return to club management, teeing himself up for his next championship job. We're left with Alex Neil who, strangely, won't answer his phone, and John Hughes, who won't stop phoning.

  2. He seems to be a good coach and has stood up and made sure we have at least fought to grind out points despite the clown show going on in the boardroom and the Warnock debacle. I like the “no drama, get down to business approach”. No illusions that he wants the pressure of being the manager, just wants a coaching gig at a good club. Therefore on a personal level I hope he finds a bit of longer term job security with us, particularly if he’s actually good at his job which his track record and the respect the players seem to have for him would suggest.

  4. Totally agree, Ruby and McDonald attack and win the majority, the two today backed off. Not saying Ruby and angus are great, but at least they are aggressive and attack the ball. Very soft in the middle today. At 6’1’’ both should be much stronger, and especially when playing in Scotland, a central defender needs to be dominating in the air. Both today seemed to back away and county were left with space infront of our defense, plus I don’t recall gartenmann winning a header, he seems to hesitate plus lets the ball bounce. Thankfully we weren’t punished but plenty of teams would have damaged us there. These two cannot be long term solutions for us, just not good enough.

  5. Your last sentence. The whole squad is based on two up top with the duk of last year playing. Zero plan B and that’s why we are here today. Duk is our super sub, although any decent money offered and he’s away.

  6. Just reading Leven’s Wikipedia page there, didn’t realise how successful he’d been as an assistant manager in Belarus and Russia working under the manager who’s now in charge at Dinamo Moscow. Hope there’s a place for him in the future coaching team structure.

  7. It’s understandable if you’ve blanked most of this season from your memory but we played two up front for the majority of the last 12 months and it didn’t exactly end well.
