It looked to me that someone at the other end of the “line” could have been playing him on but very difficult to see through the stramash of players, which makes it difficult to justify deeming it a “clear and obvious” error (assuming I haven’t misunderstood the VAR/offside rules again).

Bringing this back from the dead… Found myself at QOS v Kelty this afternoon so paid close attention to our boy Alfie. First impression: we don’t need to worry about him being physically ready, he’s a well-built lad for someone who doesn’t turn 18 until next week. Played on the right side of Kelty’s attack which limited the number of clear cut chances he got but he was always keen to take possession and have a go at his man. He had a couple of half chances on the angle but didn’t trouble the keeper, which I’m sure he’d have liked to have done. It looked like he was an integral part of Kelty’s team and was fully involved in the celebrations of their goals and at full time so he really seems to have embraced the move and all that comes with it. Whether he’s ready for top flight football (he said confidently) next season is hard to say based on 90 minutes but it’ll be a good decision for the new manager to have to make. Pretty sure that hanging about our struggling team looking for minutes here and there this year wouldn’t have done him much good so thumbs up to all concerned with the move.

No point celebrating goals now until after the VAR checks. No-one gained an advantage from the offsides. As for the game. Meh. Hopefully a new manager before the semi-final.

Cracking weekend of football. I presume all the leagues get together and organise twice a season we'll have stand out fixtures on the same weekend? Livingston v Aberdeen Roma v Lazio Man Utd v Liverpool Feyenoord v Ajax Sporting Lisbon v Benfica Rangers v Celtic Can't be a coincidence they're all on the same weekend?

Said it last year too, guy is dumb as rocks and nine times out of ten makes the wrong decision. His goals bailed him out last year but he’s so easy to figure out and defend. You know what he’s going to do, then begs for a foul every time he loses the ball. I’d take any offer and move him on, not a team player either and must be so frustrating to play with.

Hopefully get proven wrong in the last minute but bringing on duk is like playing with 10.
