  1. Eh, no. I think he proved once and for all that he has no place anywhere near an Aberdeen first team (should anyone have been in any doubt after the Motherwell game).

  2. That was an incredible game to be at, the fans were terrific and oh my the team, so proud of them, and 3 fantastic bounces for the goals! Sad this morning waking up and remembering we are not actually gonna be in the final, that performance deserved a better outcome. Credit to Leven for working so hard with these players and let's have some of that fighting spirit for the rest of the games.

  3. Thought it was all set up for Morris to score the winning penalty! Great performance but it felt the officials were a bit too keen to see the Tims in the final! However if we’d been awarded a pen it may still have led to 3-3 but we’ll never know. After a shaky start off the bench I thought Hoilett was great - the only positive to come out of Warnock’s jolly.

    VAR

I think VAR and refereeing in general is now totally out of control. It used to be the case that in good games you didn’t see the ref, or weren’t at least that aware of his presence, and we’d always say we didn’t want the referee to have a heavy influence in the game. VAR ultimately has completely reversed this where every week VAR/the on field ref play a significant part in the outcome. I think that’s what’s so frustrating to fans is that every game has a long stop where VAR/the ref influences a game. How often do we have games now where VAR and the ref don’t influence a game? I’m speculating but I say a lot, how often is post match pub chat now about VAR and calls versus quality play and players? It dominates the game which cannot be good. there has to be a sensible step back from the powers that be. Reflect and evaluate priorities. Football is a product for fans and I dont know how many fans say VAR has positively impacted their enjoyment of the game. Many/any?? The beautiful game was not about refs and calls, but it’s now a significant and determining factor.

  5. Ha, would be something. I just think of how he’d perform if he had the players around him Adam Rooney had. An in their prime hayes mcginn and McLean, he’d score a ton!

  6. Everyone at Wycombe Wanderererers rates him, must be exactly what we need

  7. I’d say we did. But as I said before, look at who we had take them, 2 kids and a loaner. I compare to scotland for example, we’ve been very good in shootouts, all experienced regular penalty takers. We had 2 guys who probably take penalties, McGrath and sokler, then Macdonald is pretty solid, but the rest are inexperienced kids or, to be honest, not very good players. Surprised we maybe didn’t see gartenmann but I wouldnt really want Morris or roos on one, and that leaves youngster Mackenzie. as proud as I was of the performance in the end, today we saw a poor Aberdeen squad. Did the best we could but yet another big summer ahead.

  8. Yes, Robertson can be clearly seen, when the ball in played into the box and there's the coming together, that he doesn't think anything untoward has happened (otherwise he'd have given a free kick straightaway) so he moves away slightly backwards and to the side to see what was going to develop and then when Hoillet gets cleaned out, has a flashback in his brain and says "Oh yes, on 2nd thoughts there's a foul on the wimp in green". It may well have been overruled in any case (don't know which GFA/Sky official was on VAR) though it wasn't any more of a foul than the septic player on McDonald's fuck-up. Neither were fouls.

  9. Best thing about that big stramash down at the front was seeing the presumably injured Miovski right in the middle of the bodies with the biggest smile in the world on his face pumping his fist in the air. Boy loves being a Dandy.

  11. No need for the personal attack. Anyone that's ever had cramp (everyone?) recognises that you can't just run it off or whatever. It's a fairly sudden thing that pretty much disables you in position. He could have hopped out of the way and lay beside the goals for treatment, but I suspect that'd have been equally as off putting - there was no good answer in that situation. I actually really like Roos, comes across as a decent guy off the pitch. However, his six month spell of being the best keeper in the SPFL seems to have been the anomaly as he's been terrible this season, and he wasn't that great in his first few months at Pittodrie either. It's frustrating, as I think there's a goalie in there somewhere, but his confidence is zero. It's too important a position to hope that he might get his form back, but it's also a huge role of the dice looking for a new keeper. I don't trust the data approach with goalies, I think we have to hope that Thelin has seen someone he can trust.

  12. Get rid. His “injury” during the shootout and subsequent delaying of Duncan’s penalty was a disgrace. I can’t stand the prick.

  13. Yes it’s a loss but ton of credit, great battling, some baffling decisions that went against us. 5 wins to finish the season please! the fact that we had 2 kids and a loaner taking penalties says a lot about our squad.
