  1. VAR missing was the absolute highlight tonight, getting home at some point before 23:00 always a bonus. Enjoyable enough game when we got going. Played some nice stuff at times, with Clarkson clearly being encouraged to try things, a lot of which don't come off, but hopefully fans will understand his role (I doubt it, I heard a lot of "stop deein that funcy shite" type shouts). The bench is a huge worry still, with nothing beyond Miovski. Morris was, and is, absolutely dogshit. He ruins the game because he doesn't know how to play it. He reacts to everything. Hopefully that's enough of his experiment. Sokler proving my point about Mackie, that was a classic Mackie performance tonight. Shinnie great, as was Clarkson. The fullbacks were fine and Rubi okay. Molloy very rash, and a worry. The idea behind Nilsen is a sound one, it's tactically great, but I don't think he's going to be good enough for the SPFL. Too slow and because of that, too many slack passes and being caught out of position. I like the way we're approaching it, but we're 4-5 players short, and that bench is honking.

  2. I was gonna say after the East Kilbride game I thought Clarkson would be in for a very good season. Having Shinnie and Nilsen offers him more freedom. I think he'll be in for a very good season.

  4. Agreed. Has clearly told Miovski that Sokler will be his number one choice this season if Bojan is leaving, and that he needs the games in pre-season to make sure he's sharp. That Miovski appears to have taken that like a champ is a measure of the man. Duk could learn a thing or two. Let me know which airport. I'll keep a constant watch.

  6. This is a million times better without VAR.

  7. As soon as I seen the team I came straight here. I wasn't disappointed

  8. I think we will have to accept that squad cannot be change over one summer due to the imbalance created over a number of poor windows. However I would like to think there will be some leeway to address some of the issues without moving on all of the dross/selling Miovski first.

  9. I agree. Having Miovski sitting twiddling his thumbs is no good for us, him or any potential buyers. Get him on from the start against Airdrie and let him loose on our biggest group competitors. Give any scouts even more food for thought

  10. Yes and no. I’d like to see gueye Richardson Morris mcgarry Vinny and duk all punted asap. Add Duncan to that list. JT asked for time, a squad revamp takes time, especially when we paid over a million for this group, we need to recoup most/all of that. We have a bloated squad and have to sell before we can buy, that’s the responsible/ business approach to take as you know. i don’t think it’s unfair to expect another right mid and center mid, but we have depth in all other areas and while that depth isn’t strong, we need to move guys on first.

  11. Massive superiority complex and misplaced arrogance. It brings out the worst in the whole population. Particularly bad are the ones who know nothing about sport. Most recently having a conversation about rugby just after the 6 nations. I made a comment which was responded to by an older English lad very confidently with "come back to me when you beat us" to which I laughed and replied "you mean like this year, or last year or the year before that." Or the dickhead my wife saw yesterday wandering down the street shouting "eng-ha lund eng-ah-lund" only stopping to stick his head in the door of the kebab shop and Turkish barbers to shout racist shite at them. Thankfully I married an Irish girl and have mates that treat it like a rivalry, same as we do. Cheering and giving me shit when we lose or have crap results (memorably the draw against the Faroes). I wanted to go to Germany and tried to convince one of these mates to come with me, he wouldn't, saying that he would have done had England not qualified but didn't want to go and have the Germans (or anyone else) associate him with the rest of his countrymen. I always like to tell them that half their team should have been missing from the final in '66 had the semi been refereed correctly, having spent 90 minutes taking turns kicking the fuck out of Eusebio (something my dad goes on about), so really the goal given that didn't cross the line just typified how corrupt that whole tournament was. In fairness the jingoism has died down a bit over the last few years and yesterday meant I got a lovely round of golf in on an empty course while the rest of England tried to drink more than three cans of cider while comparing guts and bad tattoos before seeing their team capitulate and giving their wives a slap to reassert their superiority complex and misplaced arrogance.
