  5. It was Bristol Rovers not Bristol City that tried to appoint him. Wonder which national broadcaster’s site you lifted that from….

  6. This is the type of dedication to the rules that this forum appreciates Nah, Shinnie still has a big role to play. Whilst Nilsen is very good taking the ball under pressure, making space for himself, and trying to quickly play in others, he does go missing on the turn. Dundee walked through our midfield on numerous occasions, and a better team would have converted some of the chances they got. Palaversa is getting better every week, and I think he'll be key going forward too. However, I don't see Shinnie or Devlin being regulars for us next season (unless injuries occur). I think Thelin will see Jensen as our first pick right back, and I think he'll go for another midfielder in the summer, which will mean less and less game time for either player. I think we're in the midst of a gradual, but complete clearout. Shinnie will stay for a while because of locality, but I see his game time diminishing. I think Milne, MacKenzie, Morris, Vinnie, Nisbet, Clarkson, Polvara, McGrath will all be quietly moved on by this time next year (obviously some will leave independently for contract reasons), with Shinnie and Devlin perhaps seeing out the season, dependent on European requirements.

  7. Didn’t get off the bench on Saturday. He has only played 46 minutes for them so far. Far too early to be thinking about next Saturday yet.

  8. He's okay. Spurs fans don't have the slightest clue about the Dons back line. He isn't better than Tobers or Knoester. He's never going to be a left centre half for them either, or anybody else at a highish level. I think he'll be a very good right centre half in a few years, he has all the attributes of one, just very raw. I think loaning of young players for defence is a bit stupid, as you really want to be building a partnership for the future. I especially think we made a mistake on Dorrington, because he isn't left footed. I hope we don't see him in a Dons team again, but not because of the lad himself. It would mean that we've either had an injury or suspension or - more importantly - that he's getting a game ahead of Milne. If there are any injuries, left or right of defence, Milne should be first called upon. Then Molloy when he's fit. It's a shame for Dorrington, but I think we pulled the trigger a little early with his signing, and Knoester turning up a week later has basically ended his illustrious Dons career. I understand why the club did it, there's nothing guaranteed in transfer windows, it's just a shame that it's a young lad involved. Hopefully he'll get some benefits being here regardless. I wouldn't like to see us giving him minutes through any sense of obligation though. Edit: I was assuming that Milne was returning in the next week or so. Maybe that isn't the case.
