  1. Emotional day for myself, really bad week with this condition. Been in / out of bed all week. Fuck this MS/MOGAD shite. Yup, had to miss the semi-final due to this bloody disease, watched on the TV and got very emotional, really thought those minks would steal it until the 2nd red card. But when that goal went in, I hope a few other older fans had a tear in their eyes. Fingers crossed I be okay for the final.

  2. A certain track by Joy Division might have “accidentally” been playing on my phone walking through Waverley last night.

  3. Fuck that West Stand is better for pubs and public transport. I am one of those who will look at cost of tickets and our record against the financially doped Victims and decide on a day in the pub.

  4. Is it just me or is Neil Lennon slowly morphing into Baron Harkonnen from Dune?

  5. Not been to Falkirk for a while so no first hand knowledge but mates son who played for Stirling Uni on it last season said it was awful. St Johnstone pitch was damaged, according to them, after a game was put on as SKY cameras were there when it should have been called off. St Mirren I am convinced have allowed their pitch to be like that as it suits their style. In the end a well maintained grass pitch imo is always going to be better than a plastic one.

  6. Polvara is a very technical and elegant player. I rate him and think he’ll do well in MLS, or another league. I also think he’ll show well for us playing in our European games. I just don’t think he’s suited to Scottish football. He’s not really physical, a battler, or a grafter, and is probably too nice at times. Lovely touch and in a game like yesterday where it’s a big field and we’re a man up he should stand out. (Palaversa on the other hand has bite and a bit of dirtiness to him at times.)

  7. Far be it from me to tell the moderators how to do their job, but this surely deserves a warning!

  8. Aberdeen is the highest level Devlin will get so I can’t see him looking to move on just yet. He’ll be 32 in October as well so I would imagine the size of his wage will be important to him as he nears the end of his career. He isn’t technically proficient enough to fit this modern style of pass pass pass that we’re starting to play, whereas Jensen is the absolute stereotype of that kind of player.

  9. Did I? How prescient! I think he's already a good player, as good as Palaversa probably, but just been unlucky with injury. He's only appeared 7 times this season, though, so it's difficult to get an overall view of where he is at the moment. His biggest flaw was his lack of coverage in games, but Palaversa struggled with this yesterday and was done by half time against the Huns after putting in a shift. We really need to see him get 45 minutes against 11 men to see how he fits in. Yesterday showed that he should have been given an opportunity against the Huns last week, as many of us said (and not in hindsight).

  10. He was poor yesterday and lasted 120 minutes with a guy that's had a great season on the bench. He fucked up for the first against the Huns last week and yesterday was being targeted defensively until they went down to ten. I agree, he's been decent since he came in, but he seems to be undroppable. If fairness comes into it, then it's incredibly unfair on Devlin to not be getting minutes in place of him. If I were Devlin, I'd be looking to move on in the summer. A guy with his effort, aggression and drive shouldn't be sitting on a bench every week. At the moment he's here to fulfil a Scottish quota for next season, but if we don't get top three or win the cup then we don't require that, and he'll see less and less game time. The longer he's not playing, too, the more rusty he'll get, and he'll start making mistakes in the 10-20 minute cameos, and he'll leave with a poor reputation. From the player's perspective, it'd be best to move on in my opinion.

  11. Hearts, hearts are falling apart, again

  12. Well. We were certainly not without flaws today and that's being kind. That said, credit has to go to hearts for completely killing the game the second half. If there's one thing we struggle against it's a low block with a packed defence but most teams do 2bf. Polvara saved us I thought. When he came on he took all freneticism out of our play. It was a bit like that episode of black books where Manny eats the little book of calm and turns all zen. He just got on the ball and started pulling strings. Some bounce when the winner went in, I totally lost it! It wasn't joy though, it was pure relief. I honestly couldn't have handled losing to those cunts today.

  13. The whinging about Devlin’s second yellow card is pointless, he should have already received it when he needlessly attacked Knoester 10 minutes prior, which Knoester somehow ended up getting booked for.

  14. Note to self: leaving at 7:30 is ridiculously unnecessary.
