Was chatting with an ICT supporting pal a month or so ago about Bavidge. He liked him and said he proper knew where the net was but he did have a tendency to get his Casper on at times. I've said my piece re euro reg rules and nothing has changed. I just hope at least 2 of the 4 we are wanting in have been trained at a Scottish club for 3 years up to the age of 21. My feeling is re outs that Ruby will go, Jensen will go, Sokler will go and I think one of Morris and Polvara may go as well.

Maybe after impressing on Friday Ipswich offered £2m for Ambrose so he’s Ambrose replacement, and we still sign a star striker too?

I dunno, I think he's an interesting one. Nisbet (and Miovski actually in the very few games he played under Thelin - I'm thinking St Johnstone away on the first day of last season) played deep and let someone else go beyond them. I don't think we're signing Lazetic to play as a 20-goal a season striker (and if he does bang them in that's a bonus), I think we're signing him to compliment the other attacking players, ie create space for Keskinen, Aouchiche and Milanovic. Keskinen and Milanovic look like inside forwards rather than wingers, and you don't stick an Adam Rooney type next to them because he wouldn't get the service he needs.

Seem to recall there was a point not long post Bosman where everyone was just flooding their squad with anyone that was non Scottish. Almost like we are at that point again. It’s gonna be like spot the Scot shortly in the SPL.

That's probably why St Johnstone got relegated. Didn't prepare properly by facing Aberdeen in pre-season.
