  1. I don't personally believe even if we had made a move for Lennon Miller twelve months ago it would have made an iota of a difference. Everything you have ever heard from Miller or his father have always backed up the plan they had of him serving his apprenticeship with Motherwell, getting a couple of years first team experience and then looking for a move to foreign shores. I might well be wrong but in this instance I'd argue strongly that I'm not

  2. Thanks for your assist in the cup win, putting Hatate out of the game before it even started

  3. Miller? As in Lennon? There was never an opportunity to sign him. The other two are only missed opportunities in that they are Scottish, and we need Scottish players. I think if we were looking at Hale, then Bruce Anderson would be a better bet, as he's Scottish and came through our youth system. Hale perhaps marginally quicker, but Anderson uses his body better. Both would depend on us offloading Sokler though, as I don't think either are any better than him. Sokler would score as many as Hale playing regularly for County. Both Anderson and, to a lesser degree, Hale are comfortable coming off the bench and finding the net instinctively, which would be worth having. Sokler needs game time to develop the habit of scoring - his movement and getting into the right position are not in doubt.

  7. Well, here we go again, another season of joy and despair. Hearts had a very similar League Cup group stage campaign as to what we had last season. But, as was often said about us at the beginning of last term, I'd like to see them tested before talking them up. It's easy to look impressive at home to League 2 sides. Claudio Braga and Alexandros Kyziridis could be very good signings though, and they appear to have a dangerous front three with Shankland staying. One thing Derek McInnes generally does is get his striker scoring. I watched the goals from their friendly with Sunderland, and if we thought Aberdeen had gifted Ipswich their three goals, it was nothing compared to Sunderland's efforts, so hard to read too much into that. But we clearly need to tighten up. At the time of writing, with no new signings in and with Sokler, Gueye, Tobers and Gyamfi all presumably injured, I'd expect a similar team to what started v Ipswich. I wouldn't be surprised to see Morris keep his place for "experience" of going to Tynecastle, Nilsen maybe start too ahead of Aouchiche, and maybe even Dorrington in for Milne - which wouldn't be a slight on Milne, more that Dorrington and Knoester have played more games together. But, I'm second guessing Thelin. I rarely manage to get his starting XIs correct. Looking forward to it. I don't think in my lifetime that Aberdeen, Hearts and Hibs have all been good at the same time. The transfers they've made suggest all three could be handy this season, and it would be mouthwatering if they were (and Dundee United too), but we'll see. Likely someone will end up sacking their manager during the season - hopefully not us.

  13. Four? Does that mean they'll listen to me and grab maswanhesi this week?. Proven goal scorer and creative influence in our league. If big Adil turns out to be shite, I'll harp on about this all season.

  14. Maybe after impressing on Friday Ipswich offered £2m for Ambrose so he’s Ambrose replacement, and we still sign a star striker too?

  15. Similar thing happened with Bristol Bears Women's Rugby team when they signed an american sevens player who has almost 4 million tiktok followers. Ive no idea if she is any good but Bristol ended up shifting some home games to Ashton Gate due to ticket demand. Given the shit Wrexham got themselves into in the last 20 years i say good on them. Far cry from the season I went to see them play a few home games where they had Darren Ferguson in the team. Think I even got to see David Rowson play against them for Stoke
