That’s a bit shit. Would be fairer if the season ticket holders had a set period to apply (like you do for seat for cup games) after which time the spaces would be opened up to non season ticket holders. Hopefully you are feeling better today and can at least get to watch the game on TV.

I’m starting to think we’re ruining polvara’s career. He’s not getting extended minutes regardless of how he plays, and he’s played out wider recently which is not where he belongs. None of our central players are consistently good, I just don’t under stand why he isn’t given a start. As you say, perhaps we aren’t aware of all of the story there. I really wonder if he’s capable of playing alongside shinnie with adil ahead of them. We clearly signed a 10 so polvara isn’t playing there from the start, why aren’t we trying/taking a look?

Hayes? Jesus. He never shirked a challenge. That was his only tackle of the game, it was never a foul, but he never went up for a header despite being over six feet. He's a big lad who could use it better than he's shown in his short time. Would make a big difference to his game if he can develop that, especially in this league. His positioning defensively was poor too, but that will come with training, and he won't play against better opponents often. There's some promise there, but it'll need work. He could be like Hedges, who thrived when he learned that he had the strength and athleticism required. Very similar players. I think he'll be a good signing. Forgot to mention that Polvara was once again better than those that went off. He has to be starting soon. I noticed today that his touch wasn't as good as normal, almost like he was trying too hard. The sub appearances are doing him no good, and will start to impact negatively. His game time doesn't seem to be being well managed, perhaps there's off field issues we're not party to.

Hate to say it but we look like a team that needs more games. Maybe the plan is to start light and be fresh late into the season rather than running out of steam by Christmas. We’ve definitely got the makings of a good side once we get a striker and the right midfield partnership so let’s hope it comes together sooner rather than later.

Problem with Yengi is that he doesn’t seem to be particularly aggressive. At least when things weren’t going Gueye’s way you could still rely on him to leave the boot in or body someone out of the way. Yengi’s being dominated by Liam Scales.

I am struggling to understand why we’re again using the tried and failed 4-2-3-1 against this mob particularly when they’ll be looking to avenge the cup final. Has he forgotten the number of spankings we received playing this formation against them last season or is he just stubborn and unflexible?
