  1. The winter window has been shite so far, you'd think we'd have signed someone by now. Burrows and Gunn out.

  2. No Mikey Johnston or Allan Campbell he is raging.

  3. Jesus Christ, the time difference here means I have missed this. Only just woken up to the news. Fuck sake guys imagine even on Monday lunchtime saying that within the next thirty six hours we would sign three internationalists one after the other. Fair play to Dave and the board for the backing they are giving Thelin, and here's to an up turn in fortunes. @OrlandoDon you must be mildly euphoric mate

  5. It's definitely been a shot in the arm that was much needed after the falkirk game. I think it was Panda that posted a few days back words to the effect that we had livi then a motherwell double header and that 3 wins would transform us........ and I remember thinking that was optimistic. I don't now, we have added craft and guile to the front line comparable to anyone in the league (imo anyway, other opinions are available) and who thought we would be able to say that a few days ago.

  6. From what I’ve seen to date, and it’s a very small sample size, aouchiche doesn’t know quite where to play, and we’re not certain what to do with him. He roams a lot, and we need a 10 more central and wiser. Put Armstrong behind lazetic/nisbet and I think he’s the missing piece and fills that central space, aouchiche will only benefit from his knowledge. I think Armstrong will be more settling and disciplined in many ways. I think milanovic benefits playing with Armstrong inside and nisbet up top, instead of two young guys trying to figure things out and prove themselves. as you say, trying not to get my hopes up with karlsson but when you look at the falkirk game I think topi had 2 chances and milanovic 2 first half, most cutting in, no goals. Based on the highlights I think we’ve got a guy who finds the net. international break is good for us, gives us time to train and gel, don’t think too many are away too. Certainly excited for the livi game.

  7. Timed his move well. I've only just come to peace with his goal in the 2017 Scottish Cup final, after the events of 24 May this year. Never rated him for Scotland, I look forward to being annoyed at him in an Aberdeen shirt now. But, something about Stuart Armstrong and Aberdeen just seems right.

  11. Good luck to Tony Docherty in his new role as Ross County manager. Always liked Doc and thought he was very badly treated at Dens

  12. I love how he went from saying that the Tims let a mediocre dons team win the cup, but yet goes onto praise Mcgrath, a player who arrived from us in the summer proper tears. GIRUT

  13. Desperately trying not to get too excited but my perspective has changed completely over the last 32 hours. These are the players we needed and in all honesty (karlsson aside) I expected us to sign after cormacks big spiel post final. Fantastic stuff. Karlsson (on paper) is next level, still can’t believe we’ve landed him. The project players should now make sense, and hopefully have the right characters to learn from. I did find it interesting that Thelin said that Nisbet helps us provide an identity for the team. He’s not wrong.

  14. My feeling is with Aouchice is that maybe he's trying to do too much. Like, he's come with this psg legacy and now he's in Scotland so surely he must be lighting it up and has that to prove to himself if anyone else. Armstrong coming in defo takes a bit of pressure off him to be the spark in the centre every game and that could be great for him. Agree Armstrong laying in Nisbet sounds sexy. Defo excited for the Livi game though wary at the same time. Martindale knows what he is doing, Livi are a solid team and we will need to play well to beat them. I have far more confidence that we will after the last 36 hours.

  15. No he doesn't, we already have 4 trained in league in Devlin, Shinnie, Nisbet and Frame. Could be we drop frame from the euro squad and have Armstrong in his place

  16. On a personal note it's nice to have an Invernesian in red again but I'm not sure where he fits in to our team 2bh.
