Even if the squad isn't quite deep enough, we've got 20+ games left to compensate for that, we're running out of European games to win - and earn a shit ton of money from - so I'd rather we prioritised those. As Orlando says, a few of our squad are highly likely to only be here because of the European games so it's important we give them proper attention.
I'd leave it up to the player if possible. Depending on the type of guy he is, and the closeness of his relationship with his grandfather, then he might be even more determined to play. Obviously, don't know the first thing about his situation, but it could be that his grandfather was a big influence on his career, or whatever, and he might feel it fitting to go out and perform in his memory. It'd be a shame to take that decision from him unnecessarily.
The point I am getting at, is that when the hun are on the recieving end of a bad call, or a perceived bad call, it gets very, very stupid in our press, as though it is a conspiracy against them.
Every team suffers through poor ref/var decisions, but I would say on the whole, the hun get more favourable decisions than bad ones over a season.
He had a reasonable site of goal late on in the 2nd half, fannied around, the chance was lost and he turned to the SS and did the "give us some backing" motion with his arms...fuck you, mate if you did your job you'd get our backing.
Was starting to wonder if the seven hour round trip was going to be worth it as team didn't turn up and it was so flat for so long and then.....
More of that in the second half and getting home at 2am will have been worth it.

Nice goal, well done Topi (first time I think Ive ever seen him body someone) and a very tidy finish fae Nisbet - hopefully that’s him up and running.
Outside that it’s been pretty dismal though, it’s genuinely incredible how few chances we create in so many games, I really don’t get what JT’s setting up to do a lot of the time.
Still, a good goal and something to build on second half…
It was him I wondered if Thelins post match comments were aimed at. I hope we see more of him. Had read somewhere that he’d changed agents at the start of the season and that’s been unsettling him? Either way, easily one of the best footballers at the club, just hope he gets the chance to shine.
thunder storm woke me up this morning, taking it as a sign that we’re going to smash it ️
I also think that the likes of karlsson and lazetic came here knowing European games will get them exposure. Dont think karlsson is eager to save himself for livi away. Although could be wrong.
I also think it would be a nice shot in the arm to defy the odds and not finish bottom of the CL table. After the poor start to the season it would be a nice two fingered salute to our external critics.
That said a win against Noah and a point against Strasbourg would hopefully be enough to keep us in the mix for the Prague game. If we could go to the CR with something to play for I think that would be a solid enough achievement given the draw we got.
Yeah I don't agree Livi is more important.
Even if you think the chances of qualifying from the league phase isn't going to happen, based on last season's prize money then just winning tonight earns us £350,000.
Heads will surely roll over this.
Livi chairman will be hunted down by the local masonic lodge for having the audacity to draw attention to this matter
