  5. Personally think the comment about the new urban park was ill advised. Aberdeen city doing something to improve the beach area that isnt a retail park should be applauded and to see it belittled and labelled a 'drain on council resources' is a harking back to the 80s where swimming pools, playparks, playing fields etc were sold off for profit or the early 2010s where to paraphrase Alexi Sayle 'Austerity is the idea that the global financial crash of 2008 was caused by there being too many libraries in Wolverhampton If the club wants the be part of the community, it should want the community to be a nice place to live.

  8. Hampden to be renamed Barclays Hampden. Not sure engaging with a sponsor who has a bit of political baggage in some quarters is the wisest of moves.

  10. Between his first and second seasons with us, he clearly worked his arse off to get to the level he got to, gaining an additional yard of sustained pace (see the way he scored against Hibs at Hampden for example, where he just kept going at full tilt and still had plenty energy to produce a composed finish). I assumed that he'd be able to step up again, as he had the right attitude. His positioning and game intelligence were exceptional. The only doubt I had on whether he would make it or not was whether he was at his peak athleticism, or if he had a bit more to squeeze out of him when moving into the bigger leagues. Instead, he appears to have lost a yard of pace and reverted back to the player that began with us. I didn't think it would be the case, but he might go the way of someone like Kevin Van Veen, where those 18 months of peak physical fitness produced a one-off patch. Although it wouldn't surprise me if he got a good summer preseason and return to the level he was at with us. Hopefully the former. Cunt (for the avoidance of doubt).

  11. I still find it wild how badly his career has gone since he left us. But since he signed for them, it’s fucking hilarious.

  12. If their new signings are of the calibre of Miovski, then we've nothing to worry about.

  14. Yup, 3 goals 3 assists this season in the league I think. Seems quite an athletic lad, decent pace, gets up and down the line quite a bit, kinda what I though gyamfi would be.

  19. I said I would take any kind of win and I stand by that. Overall a fortunate win but whilst Mitov (who was good today, didn't look shaky at all) had a few saves to make most of them were fairly routine. The subs brought us right back into it I felt. We started keeping the ball more consistently and I wasn't surprised when we scored as I felt the pendulum had swung in our favour. Particularly pleasing was Topi making more good decisions when he came on and not just the assist. I wonder if something has just clicked in his head recently as that's a few games now he hasn't made a particularly stupid choice. Agree Adil had a good game but with the fixture congestion we have in front of us it's understandable he was subbed. Polvara was solid when he came on.

  20. At the risk of getting carried away... Rangers have two fairly tough away games up next. We could be above them by Saturday night.

  22. Well, I'll give Thelin some credit. He inverted the wing backs more in the second half which meant we were not as overrun in the midfield. It allowed Aouchiche to find space to pick passes, which also brought the likes of Armstrong and Karlsson more into the game (even if the latter at times was a waste of a shirt). But again, it's individuals that have won us the game rather than what we were doing as a team. The goal is Shinnie refusing to give up on the ball, and Keskinen doing what Karlsson doesn't do and looking up to pick out a teammate. And the first half was unforgivable. A better team than Livingston have that game won by half-time.
