  1. Antoine Kombouare says he would "jump at the chance" to manage Aberdeen. He must be well into his eighties now.

  2. I still find it hard to believe, that despite spending a fortune on employing the folk sitting at the top table, at the AGM, that the prick Stewart Milne, still hangs around our club like a bad smell.

  4. No idea just following updates. I was at Easter Road watching Hibs U19s v Dynamo Kyiv earlier which was a decent watch. Finished 1-1.

    VAR

Except it's VAR that sucks the life out of the game, never knowing when to celebrate a goal, and so on. Before it was just shite refereeing, now it's shite refereeing and a ruined experience. We have all those Tifos and fireworks and stuff to 'enhance the fan experience ' when the best thing to achieve that would be to bin VAR. Cormack should just drop the 60 second stuff and argue for an end to VAR. I reckon he'd get lots of support.

    VAR

Aye weel, fair enough, but it's less clear an' obvious if ye dinna follow fitba in England and elsewhere ... which I dinna.

    VAR

Ah'll admit ... Ah was pretty much in favour o' VAR bein' introduced .... and ower the course o' it's implementation, Ah've generally swung in favour. But o' late? .... well, Ah'm noo swingin' the opposite wye. Was Ah wrang fae the start? .... hmm .. lets see. It's nae the delay (which is nae ideal), and it's nae the negative effect on the game's momentum (which is nae good), but the fact that wrang decisions are still bein made .... re. critical, game changin' passages o' play. Noo, pardon ma stupidity (or dinna ... see if Ah care) ... but, is it nae the case that it's purpose, and justification for the money spent, was tae ensure correct decisions were made in the interest o' fairness? ... nae tae mention the idea that, wi cameras at every angle, players would respond by bein' mair mindful o' their conduct? On the second point, VAR is, by way o' the evidence, a failure. As far as the concept, and the money spent is concerned ... was it ever a good idea tae for the 'VAR man' tae be a referee? ... Lets face it ... if we went tae a system where we had two refs on the pitch, we would still hae delays while they argued an' pondered ower decisions ... and both would be bastards whatever they agreed/disagreed aboot A referee wi' one viewpoint, bein' advised by a ref wi' various viewpoints, on paper, is a good idea ... but ... A referee, traditionally, is free tae exercise discretion. Even if two refs see the exact same action, it is natural they will disagree ... an' that's fine - except - the guy charged wi' runnin 5 miles in 90 minutes tae keep up wi the play, whilst takin (deserved) crap fae players an fans alike, bows tae the 'guy wi the eyes' .... which stifles any notion o' him havin the right tae exercise discretion. The St Mirren pen decision is a prime example. ( Ah'll nae break it doon) In conclusion, Ah'd be 'happier' a pen bein given against us, or a pen for us bein' denied on the grounds the ref didna get a right good look in the moment ... than what we are seein' way too frequently - even wi' such grand technology and expense .... at the end o' the day, it's still a ref fa maks the call. Which begs the question ... How many refs does it tak tae change a lightbulb?? ... Only one - if he's got his fkn specs on!! Onywye, dinna mind me ... Ah dinna get tae games these days ... Ah watch on the laptop ... an' if there's a 5 minute VAR check, Ah can mak a cup o' tea, maybe micro a sassidge roll, put the bins oot etc an' come back an' see fit's fit .... Ah'm nae sittin in the cauld on a day o' pishin rain wonderin 'fit the fuck Ah'm Ah daein here?" Rant over

  10. Very sketchy report in the Pish & Jism today, concentrating on The Mannie With The Armitage Shanks Smile and Burrows meeting with Cooncillors Yuill and Allard* on Friday to discuss the issues preventing the Cremola Foam Dome being realised as a joint aspiration. Cormack is apparently encouraging fans to vote in the cooncil elections in May 27 with Pittodrie 2 in mind. I’ll just put my ham-fisted X down for the Workers’ Revolutionary Party as usual. No penguins reported onstage, nor among the biscuit offering with the usually-bowfin post-meeting refreshments. *not to be confused with the Miners’ strike scab bastards Yuill and Dodds

  12. Shinnie deserves a place in Aberdeen club history. A trophy winning proud Aberdeen for the jersey guy. Love the way he plays and delighted when he played for Scotland, more than deserved. Gutted when he left and delighted when he came back. At the same time, he’s on the decline and more and more people are holding him in less regard. I did criticize him last week, think he struggles at times now, but he will always be legendary shinnie. funny, I never rated considine and didn’t care for him much at all, but so many/the majority treat him with legendary status.
