Considine is a proper AFC legend. Of course he had shit games, but he was immense in plenty others and he played enough. We also had some real shite in our back four for a lot of his time. I reckon he would have done a great job at any other team in Scotland including either of the the bigot brothers. He was never a left back, but in most games he played at left back he did a sterling job and was only usually found wanting when up against serious pace, but he was fine for the most part in the league. I get we all have differing opinions, but we really never signed much better defenders than Andy Considine during his time with us.3 points

On the basis that we've not lost a league game since I started doing match threads on here, I'm carrying on. The Dons host Kilmarnock on Sunday at Pittodrie. The high octane football action starts at 3 pm. I fancy us to win 2-0.2 points

Andy Considine is a proper hero. A fan who grew up to play over 400 games for the club, even winning a trophy. And topping it all off with a Scotland debut at Hampden, at the age of 33, helping the team to a clean sheet in a meaningful game. Seems to be a genuinely good guy and a hugely loyal servant who played wherever his manager asked him to. He's basically the manifestation of the dreams of every kid who grew up wanting to play for the Dons.2 points

The main story on the Press and Journal site. Final offer to the Council being made today and full of the sort of shyte you would expect from a man who has been brainwashed with the American way. Will he get Trump involved if the council don't back his vision? He is going to go into full meltdown mode if he doesn't get his way. A new Stadium at the beach, really isn't going to help our economy much as it enters a period of rapid decline. The type of jobs they would look to create un the development, would be low waged, unskilled retail/hospitality work. It's a bit like the shyte about how much jobs the golf course at Balmedie would create and they never materialised either. Yes we need a new stadium and I am fairly sure the Council want it too, but the whole politicising of it leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. These talks should have happened about 20 years ago, when the Council were likely to have started looking at the initial beach development plans. They would have likely been able to get access the funding that very rich Dave Cormack and his Billionaire co owners would like access too. As despite it bringing jobs and prosperity to Aberdeen, they aren't quite able to justify putting their own money into this.2 points

Just back. Decent game, tireless performance and should have got something from it. Some sitters missed and a weak bit of defending. We pressed really high though and matched them all over the park. Going man for man was high risk but good to see. Their goal came from Devlin being high up on his man and tanking back in to cover for Milne who needs to be a bit better with his positioning. Earlier in the season, we'd have had the two defenders deep and probably dealt with it, but we'd have been passing it sideways and allowing them 80 yards of space all over the park. It's a worthwhile trade-off. Thought Aouchiche worked his arse off in there tonight (might have solved our midfield issue?), Armstrong outstanding for an hour and Lobban played like a seasoned pro. Was happy enough with the subs, I think Sunday has to be the priority. Yengi wasn't terrible, Milanovic was. Karlsson ineffective but generally worked hard. Mitov obviously pissed off with the disgusting besmirchment of his abilities on here recently and was top class - anyone questioning him should be flogged. Lazetic should be scoring tonight and has to be disappointed. Nisbet looked possessed when he came on. By a man with extremely heavy feet. His first five passes were hit at quadruple speed. You could see he really wanted to get involved, but everyone else was out on their arse (or Yengi or Milanovic).2 points

To be fair to him, he has. His last estimate was £80m. The club need to do a feasibility study to get an accurate cost of building at the beach, but the club's issue is they keep spending money on feasibility studies that then prove useless because the prospect of building the stadium soon goes. Ie, they did one for Loirston, then the council decided they wanted a school on part of the land instead. Then they did one for Kingsford, only for the council to approach them about the beach. Now the council have been saying up until now they aren't putting any money in towards the stadium, so the club are asking why they should spent any money on the project. It might not, but something has to happen. Pittodrie won't stay standing forever. * Upgrade Pittodrie (likely with a smaller capacity) * Build at the beach * Build at Kingsford * Build elsewhere One of those things will happen.1 point

Aye. ~There was a spell last season when we were spending money on anyone but Scottish players, let alone Aberdonian. The more we did it,the more remote the club felt to me. Armstrong,Lobban and Milne,(Shinnie to a lesser extent these days) keep the link going1 point

Nah, he was just trying a bit too hard in that deeper role, getting a bit excited. If he puts in that work rate and desire for the rest of the season he'll come good. I think we could be about to see another of his purple patches in the next couple of months.1 point

I thought Karlsson worked hard, but you could see he was closed down every time he had the ball. Same with Lazetic. With Karlsson, a simple pass from him would likely make a difference, but I suspect he will never change that side of his game and why we have him on loan.1 point

Just in the door @ 1.31 a.m Home sooner than the Noah game but then no 75 mph winds to battle against. Enjoying a dram, shame on you Aberdeen based supporters that didn't turn up tonight Thoughts on the actual game tomorrow but having had a quick scan it looks like Rico has written my summary for me again1 point

I can live with 1-0. We gave a solid account of ourselves against a really decent side. Ultimately though we are still a work in progress but I don't think we lose any momentum we have built up with this loss. Mitov putting in his best performance of the season was probably the most pleasing point for me and I was even remotely surprised when he saved the pen.1 point

Thought we played well up against a very good team but as has been said above we just didn’t look like scoring. Thought subs were made in wrong order and Shinnie and Nisbet should have been on first. Lost momentum when Yengi and Milanovic came on. Mitov made some brilliant stops. Really impressed with Barca for Strasbourg when he came on. Convinced that his Grandad visited Argentina in 78.1 point

Bring back the original 3, to be generous make the European cup for top 2. Make football interesting again! to me it’s been 6 European friendlies, obviously want us to do well but no great appeal. If anything I’d prefer we used the squad and kept key players fresh for the league, obviously an ass backwards approach.1 point

I’ve said this before, miovski could not have had it more perfect with us. He was our 9 who would pretty much play as he wanted, got all the penalties, scored early on his dons career, scored a game winner at hampden, and got cult/hero status very quickly. He was loved/adored. We have that type of club, some players truly love it here and you see the connection he had with the fans. Fast forward to now, whether the injury he had is a factor I don’t know, but he’s not a sure or regular starter, very limited playing time, not on penalties, team won’t gel around him, fans/culture is awful/toxic, not winning regularly or doing well, it’s the perfect storm. I also think miovski has a sensitive side and that’s just not the place for him. Perhaps his time with us is similar to cosgrove, it just all clicked for him and he got his big move, then kind of disappears.1 point
