We seem to have a real determination about us. Very proud of this current run. Certainly not pretty but we’re winning games. I also think we’ve got a decent number of players with strong mentalities, specifically shinnie knoester devlin adil Armstrong and lazetic. Add the impressive play and toughness of Milne and lobban to that. While not everyone’s cup of team, I’ll add the swagger of karlsson to that list too. Europe has really not been a great thing, almost getting in the way. January and a notmal schedule will be good. Add 2-3 strong signings (hopefully!) then the second half is really intriguing. Celtic are in crisis, rangers not that much better, and who know what happens with hearts. If everyone beats everyone who knows what the second half of the season brings.3 points

Think he was one of the he signings that Calderwood posed with pre season. Amongst others there was Tommy Wright & Mark Kerr Signed Stewart from some Irish team and from memory ended up back there.2 points

Sold 1500 tickets for this game and a few others in amongst the home support. A fair effort.2 points

Europe’s just income, which in turn pays for the bigger squad required to serve the Thursday-Sunday timetable, but as ‘Bambi’ said in the Young Ones’ University Challenge episode, “the rich kids always win”. Midge Ure has never commented on this.2 points

For the first time this season we have a positive goal difference. Also worth noting that despite our grim start to the season we have actually now won a game more than the three teams above us. Hibs have played the same number of games, the huns 1 less and Motherwell 1 more.2 points

So the reference to a thing called a Red Bounty (still don't recollect it tbh) in the film thread set me thinking about sweets of my youth that to the best of my knowledge are no longer with us Sports Mixtures Football Chums Fruit Salads/Black Jacks Bar Six Aztec Bar Spangles Texan Bar Sure there must be many others. One more European adventure awaits the Dons in Prague, Czechia. The game kicks off at 8 pm Scotland time on Thursday 18th December at the Epet Arena, named by an expat Geordie. Sparta Prague are currently second in the Czech First League behind their city rivals Slavia Prague. They qualified for the Conference League by finishing fourth last season and negotiating three rounds before making the league phase. They are sixth in the Conference League table. I don't fancy this game at all. A 0-3 defeat beckons for us, but it won't matter. As long as we don't make an arse of ourselves like we did in Greece.1 point

Sincerest apologies Mon Ami, it was indeed the sixteen minutes album version of Love To Love You Baby. Not often I get something wrong about music but guilty as charged this time around1 point

Intrigued to find out if anyone that has stumped up the cash to go across for the game actually is in favour of the level of team being proposed. Putting that aside, suggesting we field what effectively would be a reserve team is utter folly and likely to rebound on us big time. I already have the dubious record of having been at every one of our four heaviest defeats in European competition, I have no desire to make if five. Sunday will take care of itself, just fucking go for it Jimmy and win us back some pride please. You did not imagine it. It confused the hell out of me as well as where I sit in the main I can turn around and just about see one of the screens in a corporate box and they show replays unlike the big screen. I.e I had seen enough of the replay to know if he had handled it was defo inside the box.1 point

Yes, I saw it, but it was so brief, I thought I had imagined it. I didn't see either call clearly for the penalty calls, especially ours.1 point

I have never looked forward to playing them in our own patch let alone Parkhead and as for them being there for the taking... The scars of watching us over the years, means I can never be that confident going into a game against anyone. We were honking first half yesterday, as bad a 45 minutes as I have ever seen from an Aberdeen team and I've seen plenty. Prague is a free hit. My appetite for the game is zero, but Thelin has to have us far better prepared for Sunday than he did first half yesterday. The green filth don't often lose many games on the bounce and I really don't want us being the team that it starts to click for them.1 point

As a bairn ma fave cheap sweeties ( as in 2, 3 for 1p) were prob Lemfizz, Bazooka Joes, Fruit Salads, Mojos. Ah liked sports mix ... especially cos they were 5 for a penny, but Ah hated the black anes. Many a time Ah would ask "5p o' sports .. nae blacks". .... an' aboot half the time the wifie (it wis nearly ayewis a wifie) would look at ma wi an expression which read "Are you haein a fuckin fun??" and would stick the scoop intae the sports mix indiscriminately an' coont oot the sweeties intae the bag .... blacks 'unfiltered'. Actually, Ah think there wis usually a disproportionate number o' black anes - oot o' spite, in reaction tae fit Ah thought wis a reasonable request. Still, like a bampot, Ah'd hand ower ma 5p. Anither firm fave wis 'Crispets' ... ye can still get them, but they cost a fkn fortune ... same goes wi Chelsea Whoppers1 point

Looking at who is in our European squad, happy for this to be the team. If Gyamfi isn't fit, then play Clarkson or Palaversa at LWB for shits and giggles, and play Nilsen in the middle. Or play Jensen and play Shinnie at LWB v Celtic. A shame Bilalovic isn't in the Euro squad because would have been a nice run out for him. Go enjoy yourself lads, Prague should be nice this time of year. But it's all about another Glasgow win over Celtic on Sunday.1 point

Just watched the extended highlights on RTV there. Re our pen there didn't appeat to be an angle that shows the actual incident clearly so not surprised VAR ignored it and went with the refs decision. First half we looked miles off it but came into it a wee bit toward the end. Good save from Mitov at 1-0 to deny wee brucie but he was probably just offside. Second half was defo better but I still felt we laboured for spells and it wasn't really till Bilalovic came on that I felt Killie started to look a little worried. I was really impressed with the kid I have to say. When you consider the lack of game time he's had it was surprising to see him have such a breath of fresh air quality about him. He took his goal really well too, he proper had to fight to get on the end of it I would hope/expect to see a lot more of him going forward now. I said I would take any win but ideally a comprehensive one for added momentum. A come from behind win when you've been a bit shit for a large part of it is almost as good.1 point

I think Polvara was upset with himself. He just fumed on the bench and you could see that when he came on after the end and was being ribbed about his miss in front of goal - Shinnie managed to cheer him up a bit. With Jensen, he works hard, does lots of things right, but he clearly lacks the confidence to take a man on, so if there's not an obvious forward pass he just turns back. I can see why that's frustrating for the fans, but there's no excuse for the way he's being treated. When Bilalovic came on, I had no idea who it was. I knew it wasn't Lazetic as he was already on, but that was the only reason. Shameful to not know who a player is. Naughty step for me. Thought he made quite an impact. Just need to give Kjartanson a go now too. Shitey first half, and I was nervous when those gilt-edged chances didn't go in in our strong spell second half, but we totally deserved to win in the end. Nice to see us continuing to climb the table.1 point

Dante wasn't a happy bunny when he was subbed. Didn't acknowledge any team mates on his way to the dugout. On Jensen, he looked a great prospect when he first arrived, but for the money we paid, we really should expect better. Hard working lad, but either just not happening for him or we aren't using him correctly. Didn't deserved to be cheered when it was announced Shinnie replaced him. Shitbag behaviour.1 point

I think that's the first time Celtic have lost two cup finals in the same calendar year since 1984, when they also lost the Scottish Cup final to Aberdeen.1 point

Can see how you could think I was singling you out, but my comment was a generic one about an element of our support who turn on Jensen regardless whenever things are not going our way1 point

Jensen is the usual easy target for an element of our support. There are others who have offered even less so far today1 point
