  1. Our attacks are remarkably similar to my wife aimlessly circling a half-empty car park trying to find a parking space she’s happy with.

  3. As it stands we're currently dropping back into the bottom six, which let's be honest is where this team belongs.

  11. I agree,he looks a lot bigger but havent found a site to say otherwise. My original post should have been on match thread Another site description - "Kjartan Már Kjartansson hails from the cold climes of Iceland, born on the 14th of July, 2006. Now 19 years of age, Kjartansson holds the fort in the midfield, operating mainly as a central defensive midfielder for Aberdeen. At a height of 5 feet 8 inches (approximately 1.75 metres), and a lean and mean weight of 11 stone (approximately 70kg), he is a prominent figure on the pitch, donned in the number 29 jersey."

  13. Can the 3 year project start the first time we ever spoke to jimmy? get the Motherwell boy in asap, and I’d act soon before someone else snaps him up.

  14. I get that there are a lot of games in a condensed festive period but could we just not work out what our best team is and then play them for 4-5 games in a row. If any get injured or are consistently shite, drop them as we have a massive squad. Oh and 2 up front with wingers who cross the ball into the box quickly. Obviously I come from a generation where keeping possession doesn't win you games and actually putting the ball in the box where you have a chance that you might actually score.

  16. We are a truly dreadful team. Jimmy out.

  17. But only one striker really, playing two wingers further up isn't the same. Don't understand Milanovic coming on and not Polvara. We'll have 3 wingers and still probably no width.

  18. It's been all so predictable so far. We've never got above 'okay'. No real zip or pace to our play. We lack any real belief. Defensively not good enough. And this is against a depleted Hibs team.

  21. Aye. Good to see him getting in there though. He just mistimed the run slightly.

  22. Hope to fuck we manage to change the norm here and actually start providing the strikers with some service. Oh, and not shitting the bed.

  23. Not really. The same formation we play every week, with most players playing in the correct location.

  26. Think we'll stick with the back three, at least until the windae opens. Probably a good idea away to a team that also plays a three. Kjartansson and Aouchiche for me, with Gyamfi and Lobban wide, Keskinen, Nisbet and Bilalovic the front three. 2-7. McGrath with two goals to put them 2-0 up at half time. Boyle with a second booking for diving, and us to get seven quick goals in the last ten minutes.

  27. I don't think you need to be built like a brick shithoose for the role, you just have to be good at it. In my opinion, Dante seems to struggle with the pace of the game in that role. I like the loon a lot, but I don't think he is suited to the fast pace of the Scottish game.

  28. Continuing to cling onto the hope that away from home we get a bit more room in behind and Hibs are knackered after Derby game. Also, my last 3 games Ive been at were Hearts, Livi and Dundee all of which we won and I’m going tomorrow. Where are those straws.

  29. Patience with Jimmy is wearing thin. Our striker or strikers have next to no chance of scoring at Hibs as we simply don't carve out any chances for them. We give them zero service.

  30. It was a painful watch on tv, thought we might kick on when we got the equaliser but dear god it was torture, dreading ER on Tuesday evening now. The fannying about without getting a decent ball into the box is doing my head in!!

  31. Every game you know what is coming. We dick about so much, you know the opposition are going to punish us. Lots of nice little passing movements, but always that extra touch that's not needed or a poor final pass into the danger areas, or more likely an opposition player. Thought Shinnie was MOTM for us not got the legs for the 90 minutes at the LWB role, but the heart of the guy, never ever stops. A lot of players could learn from him. Knoester was a close second. The guy is class. Reading a few pops at Nisbet and Lazetic. Nobody we bring in as a striker is going to work with the shit they are given to work with. Thought Armstrong was shit all game, especially his final ball, just woeful. Some of his corners were embarrassing. He is far better than that. Topi as well, just a waste of a shirt tonight. United weren't great, but we have a knack of making average teams look like world beaters. A draw was a fair result overall, but the sort of match we should be looking to take three points from, or at least make teams fight hard for anything, instead of just gifting them it.

  32. Neither wide player will attack the line because it'll put them on their wrong foot, so they nearly always check back and the oppo defence can reset. As an old-fashioned winger, you want to burn past FB, and flash it into the penalty area where the defenders are chasing back facing the wrong way. Instead we have inverted wingers who cut back inside all the time, giving defenders time to reset.

  33. Pretty much my view on it. Would not want to watch that United team more than a couple of times a season. Goodwin could get football stopped. We desperately need to a striker as we already knew Yengi was not good enough and on last few weeks evidence neither is Lazetic. Nisbet worked hard but is getting zero service from midfield. We need a striker in that can fit the system they are trying to implement. Karlsson is a really frustrating player. Despite scoring today I felt he was major reason our attack was so toothless. I would happily pay for Polvara’s flights back to the U.S. if it meant not having to watch him get out muscled or give the ball away again.
