I’m not sure outsourcing a “strategic review” to a consulting company and then hiring someone affiliated/linked to the consulting company to lead the “transformational changes” is a particularly smart move either. Never works in business, can’t see it working in football. Can absolutely see Cormack being seduced by a well-recycled slide deck giving it “yes a helicopter view deep dive that’s exactly what we need” while everyone else is smiling through gritted teeth.4 points

Thelin’s post-match interview on Red TV suggests he’s had enough. His resigned demeanour and ‘fuck this for a game of soldiers’ tone are not a good look. He mentioned - quite pointedly - the lack of player desire and responsibility, which was echoed by Shinnie in his summing-up, suggesting that there are known prima donnas in the squad who lack the commitment to get stuck in. The coming week is very probably going to be painful.3 points

He’s either already lost, or is about to lose, the dressing room. Best for all parties if he quits tonight.3 points

Crumbling stadium is on Milne. He deliberately let it rot for years. The council have led us a merry dance on the new ground too. Training facilities are good, not their fault they are not being used to any great effect. They only exist because of Cormack. He deserves a slagging for the naming thing though. He’s backed his manager 100% financially. Given him everything and more he could expect. I can’t criticise him for that. The football side is an ongoing shambles though and he has to take the blame for that too. Its nowhere near good enough…3 points

Gone 11am so surely if it was getting postponed because of travel conditions in the North East then surely it would be done by now. That sounded quite logical when I thought that in my head but once I read it back no so much so given this is Scottish football authorities that are involved3 points

Off the park we are a well run club. Commercially / fan engagement / training facilities etc we’re light years better than when Milne was in charge. None of that matters a jot when the football side doesn’t deliver though, and it’s been every bit as bad under Cormack as it was under that gype joiner…2 points

We're not a well organised football club, we're a well organised commercial entity. The summer transfer window was staggeringly incompetent and showed the ineptitude of the footballing department.2 points

Dont agree. Think we are a well organized and well run club. We dont want to sack a manager every year so gave jimmy time. That’s fair. But Jimmy’s time is up and no shame in admitting that, he was backed and funded. Maybe the Lutz position came too late for him, but there’s little to suggest jimmy turns this around. We’re a mess defensively and in attack. not looking forward to the Huns double header.2 points

I’ve tried to remain supportive and I’ve been on the fence for a while, but thats it - I’m done. This guy is a clueless charlatan. He has absolutely no idea how to fix any of the issues we have. 18 months in and millions spent to produce a genuine bottom 6 SPFL outfit. It’s a complete joke. He needs to go, he won’t of course, but he needs to. Instead we’ll waste another transfer window and stumble on with this directionless, clueless mess. It’s completely unacceptable…2 points

There will likely never be a better chance for a non cheek team to win the league in decades, & where are we - absolutely fuckin nowhere. Unbelievably frustrating…2 points

People forget, we had aitken, heggarty, ebbe, miller, Patterson between smith/scott and calderwood. Plus McGhee post calderwood. I don’t think cormack has picked the worst managers we’ve ever had. you are right about jimmy, very likable and we were all behind him. We badly want him to succeed. The fan support for his team has been amazing, it’s just not working. Maybe a back four today brings a change in fortune.2 points

No way. I've never disliked Jimmy. I despised Miller long before he become our manager. One of the many, many lows under Milnes stewardship. Were real dark days then. Might be shyte now, but still Scottish Cup holders.2 points

Not sure he can pile in and capture the leader of another country without Congress approval, however that doesn’t usually stop the mad cunt. He must be terrified of what’s in the Epstein files to start a war with another country.2 points

Just win - by means fair, foul, or fortunate. Stop overthinking things. Forget their fucking formation and tactics Play the best available 11 players from the start. Nae much to ask for, is it?2 points

Well, here's one for you. Thelin hasn't ruled out cutting Ester Sokler's loan short. I wouldn't be against it in all honesty, because I did say when he left I thought he was better than Yengi and Ambrose, so him taking their place on the bench while we move them on makes sense. And to be honest, is he really much worse than what we've seen from Lazetic and Nisbet? He has six goals in 12 appearances for the team sitting eighth in Serbia. Maybe he's finally found his shooting boots. Of course, we'd all like to see another striker signed that is better than all the names above, but it's likely we'll struggle to find one in a notoriously difficult transfer window. It may well be our marquee signing is someone struggling for game time elsewhere who we hope can rediscover the form that once had [Enter club with too much money] to pay [enter transfer fee player was never going to be worth] five years ago.2 points

I had a look on PJM Mad to cheer myself up. Looking through the match thread, they seem to have the exact same problems as us ‘We've signed a lot of players who aren't suitable for the cut and thrust of Scottish football. Playing a higher line, having a sweeper keeper, inverted wingers, wing-backs. I'll gladly take a keeper catching a ball. Full-backs over lapping a winger or right/left sided midfielder. A midfielder who will create time for spreading the ball about for a teammate in space. A twin pairing strike force that will occupy the opponents centre-halves and create an understanding with one another. Not much to ask for, but it seems these ways aren't the way football is to be played these days. 343 wildly exposed and once the opposition have the lead we offer the same meek predictable offerings time and again.’ Thelin is just a Swedish Jim Goodwin1 point

Its all just more words though at the end of the day. Its his squad and his dressing room. Ok, others have input but he’s right there too. He’s assembled a squad with zero fight, physicality, aggression and leadership. Every issue we have on the football side has him front and centre as a reason for it. Lets hope he offers to resign again and this time the club does the right thing…1 point

Whilst it’s hardly consolation given our surrender today, I had a keek into the Jutebastards’ Footymad forum, and the comments on their loss. Like their previous self-frottage over every manager appointed since the internet allowed us insights to their twisted synapses, ‘Sir Jim’ is now getting the ‘fuck him’ revisionist treatment. He’s a fucking fraud who should never have been anywhere near Pittodrie, but he’s a good fit for those plastic wankers. i have subsequently sanitised my hands.1 point

First half the Tims were the better team. Second half the huns came out, went at them and they fell apart - again. We of course just sat off all day and let them play with no pressure at all. Its our culture though, has been for literally decades now - timid, spineless acceptance that we just can’t compete, no matter what…1 point

If true that he previously offered his resignation, then hopefully its offered/accepted this time before it gets messy1 point

Do you honestly think he's coming to us? He's two points off second. Honestly, apart from a bigger wage packet, what are we offering him? By the time he sorts Aberdeen out, the Old Firm will have belted themselves out too. His chance to do something amazing is now.1 point

Make that 20 premier league matches played and scored in in the first half in 4 of them!!!! Add in it's now 4 points from losing positions in 12 games. Sorry but Pele's team, McGhee's team, Alex Millers team would beat this current team comfortably. Time is well and truly up for Jimmy. Lets not waste money in Jan on any players for him as it's just money down the drain.1 point

Only moment of enjoyment was when Nilsen turned into prime-Zidane for a couple o seconds. Otherwise, utter p1sh fae start to finish. No redeeming features.1 point

Desperation. It’s the worst and most obvious desperation we’ve seen from a manager in recent times. Week in week out it’s hoping something will stick. That’s how we ended up with a back 3. We have to move on, the fan love and support will start to drop for sure.1 point

Said it before, i want the Motherwell guy. Other than that it’s back to square one and who the fuck do we get? Leven until the end of the season? the window is huge. We have some players that add 3-4 we could be decent. But not under Thelin.1 point

I didn’t say i liked it but I understand it. We have a bunch of fannies out there, need a bit of bite and leadership in the middle of the park. That’s not polvara or Clarkson, and probably not Kjarten yet.1 point

Thankfully we are usually only shyte for one half. Now that is out of the way we go on and win this. Three points today is all that matters.1 point

We’re lacking passion and fight in the middle. I get why sivert. But he’s the best of a bad lot. None of the others are fighters, although don’t know enough of Kjarten.1 point

Before this game goes any further.. Dylan Lobban. I'd go with the Lob-ban pronunciation, but it's Low-ban in commentary. Until this matter is resolved, it's hard to see us holding onto the ball for more than five fucking seconds.1 point

Didn't watch it and didn't know it was on. However...I did see the BBC Sport headline at what would have been half time and it said Celtic wiped them off the park and should have been clear. I just went on to Kerrydale street and the entitlement is off the scale. Greatest fans in the world though and I take great satisfaction that it all started to unravel for them on that beautiful day back in May of last year.1 point

60 (sixty) years ago today, 3 January 1966, I was privileged to be allowed to attend Pittodrie for the first time. Jimmy Wilson and Billy Little had us 2-0 ahead at HT. Perth scored three in the second half. Every time I see Chalky Whyte, I give him grief for spending the second half on his butt as the pitch was icebound, and Saints players had changed into better footwear for the conditions. It was neither my best day, nor my worst as a Red.1 point

Important that we don't give Falkirk too much respect. They've won three games since October; two against a really poor Kilmarnock team, and at home to Dundee, who just avenged that result in midweek. They couldn't beat Livingston at home. "Tough away game", only if we make it hard for ourselves - it's a very winnable game. Our biggest opponent here is us playing slow ponderous football and adding to our recent list of schoolboy errors. I just don't want to see us passing it along a back five, going back the way any time someone closes us down, and then when we do break we have just one guy waiting in the box.1 point

Exactly - he needs to be looking much closer to home. I’m frankly fed up with the soundbites and “talking a good game” he constantly does, which then week after week translates into absolutely no change to the rudderless bilge we see on the pitch. Saw an interview with Nancy earlier. He looks and sounds utterly lost too - had very familiar vibes. We just had to pick this year to be shite again didnt we…1 point
