  1. In order to get the ball to Nisbet, it’s vital that it starts with Mitov making a 3 yard sideways pass to a centre half on the 6 yard line. That way, he can give the ball to an under pressure full back who has to pass it back the way to the centre half. From here, the important part is to thread a pass straight up the middle to a midfielder who is either facing his own goal, or isn’t looking at all This is the way football MUST be played. Otherwise, what’s the point? The paying public need to be entertained

  2. Online clowns lashing out at everything and anything out of frustration at how poor we've been. Chairman, captain, (ex) manager, goalie and now CEO all getting it in the neck because social media allows morons an outlet to spout the pish that in the past would only have had an audience of three men and a dog in the pub. It's one thing to criticise players and managers for their performance but when it turns to off the field figures' personal lives then it's a grim state of affairs.

  3. This for me too who the fuck decided that was the style best suited to our league. Surely adaptability depending on opponents, pitch & competition is the way to go.

  4. I’ve no idea why we need a style and if we did, why the fuck we chose that one

  5. I think that means lumping the ball up in the air.

  7. To be fair, if Egypt are playing again at 8pm, I can understand them not wanting to expend too much energy attacking.

  9. Here are the comments (I hope) copied from the Herald/National online. Excuse the layout All Comments5 Newest All Comments Comment by Robbie Devine. RD Robbie DevineSUBSCRIBER3 HRS AGOWhataboutery from likes of Mr Greene and Mr Baker is embarrassing. Reply by Lewis Baker. LB Lewis Baker2 HRS AGO Go and sit in the naughty corner with Graeme McGarry. Whataboutery is a legitimate question against this one-sided article. I could also highlight the Rangers fanbase continually accusing Aberdeen fans of beastiality. If there is a fanbase that should be staying quiet about abusive behaviour it is the Rangers fan base. Comment by Joseph Greene. JG Joseph Greene4 HRS AGO Strange, Graeme, that you take no offence at the Famine Song, which mocks the deaths of around one million people. Just banter, is it? Maybe we should stop moaning about it, and just 'go home'?EDITED Comment by Lewis Baker. LB Lewis Baker4 HRS AGO A bit of selective outrage there Graeme, what's the difference between mocking the death of Lisbon Lions, Bobby Sands, or each and every Pope that dies and those of the Ibrox disasters. The people in glass houses should not throw stones. Reply by Martin Falcon. MF Martin Falcon4 HRS AGO The mods deleted my comment about this very behaviour highlighted in the article being practised in this forum. So much for naming and shaming.

  10. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/sport/football/aberdeen-fc/6933646/aberdeen-transfer-nicolas-milanovic-confidence/ The gist of this being that two clubs interested in Milanovic, but Aberdeen only likely to let him leave on loan if they do let him leave. Palaversa, Nilsen, Besuijen, Yengi and Ambrose all getting to fuck.

  12. Our fans are the only fans, in the whole of football to sing obscene songs though. No other club does it.

  13. This is my concern also. The whole set up feels like Lutz is the master puppeteer and we’re getting more Northern European crazy. Just get 3 in midfield to protect the back 4 and offer a platform, play the leftie on the left, the rightie on the right, hit the by line and stick Kev on the pen spot. I’m over simplifying it I know but we need to change something.

  16. Tactics, mate, you can actually see tactics in that shambles of set up, can you share them with me please as I canna see fk all. I am with you on feeling sorry for Nisbet, we all know he can score he has proved that, not sure about Lazetic but for now the jury is maybe out. But fk me we need to start getting back to basics and feeding our strikers give them chances to take and law of averages alone says they will score now and again. I am 100% convinced, give Nisbet a regular run of games (something he has not had this season) and feed him with chances and he will score more than he misses. Fk sake Aberdeen it's not rocket science

  17. I agree with you on Polvara. I've read a fair amount of shyte about how bad he was on Sunday and I thought he did fine enough. I also think he is getting a bit more physical, but that just isn't his game. The loon is a good technical player, maybe just not suited best to our league. Thankfully he manned up last May, when he stepped up and put away his penalty. The best thing the club could have done for him when he signed, was to ship him to Arbroath, or some other Championship team to introduce him to the realities of Scottish fitba. For me our tactics are our biggest issue and most of our players are being sent on to the pitch to fail. None more so than our strikers. I actually feel sorry for Lazetic and Nisbet.

  18. Not all aspects of a player's game require strength in the tackle though. Clarkson is weak in the tackle for example. He's fairly decent defensively despite being a poor tackler because his positional sense is decent. He's very two footed (probably the most two footed player in the squad), and is technically decent. He's a vast upgrade on utility players like Dom Ball for example, who was poor, but still a worthwhile squad player who covered numerous positions in the course of a season. He's already better than several of our squad in their preferred roles, so I wouldn't be confident we could go out and get better. None of this is to say he's good, just that he's above average. If we accept that his weakness is physical strength, then that's no different to accepting that Shinnie's weakness is pace, and Devlin's is technical ability. We make up for it by signing players who compliment, whilst working with Polvara on strength conditioning and not being a fanny.

  19. I assumed he was including himself in that? I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I thought he played well in the last two games. His movement was very good on Sunday, making space for others, probably not noticeable on the telly. He's an intelligent player, who quickly gets to grips with the position he's asked to play. He's not a world beater, but slightly above average and can play in numerous positions. We need a player like that in the squad. It means that you don't have to overload the squad with shite. On the assumption that you're always going to have injuries, he's a reasonably dependable all rounder that can cover, meaning that you can offer him twenty games a season comfortably and you don't need two players in every position. It's a case of better the devil you know, and we've seen how poor the signings have been, we'll definitely sign worse.

  20. It's pretty depressing Emma Burrows was put in a position where felt the need to post this I have to say. Sounds like they have been through the ringer as a family, my best pals wife had 2 miscarriages in short order and I've seen what it does to relationships close up. If you read this Alan and Emma all the best to you.
