  2. Only one member of NATO has ever triggered article 5 to get other countries to come to their aid and that was the U.S. and NATO did. This includes Denmark who suffered the highest per capita casualty rate of any of the countries so to claim that U.S. gets nothing from other countries is laughable on that basis alone. Then look at the money the U.S. defence industries get from NATO members since its inception. It is again farcical to suggest no to financial benefit from this. The US already the right to increase number of troops in its bases in Greenland if they are worried about security and alleged increase Russian activity (same Russians his policies are assisting in Ukraine but that’s a different discussion) but it should be pointed out that NATO have said no Russian ships have been in Greenland waters for a number of years. This is nothing to do with security it’s all to do with the Poundland Mussolini wanting to be able to say he has made America greater again by expanding territory. He wants to get his face on Mount Rushmore like the other U.S. Presidents that have expanded the U.S. for his ego nothing more.

  4. He was given gentle applause when going to take corners at the start of the game and was generally applauded when he did something decent of note. Banner at the red shed before the game that said “NO OLD FIRM LOANS” but didn’t notice jeering towards him. and this is the bit that pisses me off- reported that he received a hostile environment- even Willie Miller on the radio was going on about he will win the fans over and they will forget his Hunnishness and the long standing rivalry Completely missing the point that it is not Cameron the fans are unhappy with, it is the fckn nonsense that we are loaning a player to develop for them and give game time too - for their long term benefit. without a clause that allows us to buy, this is one sided deal that we will be shafted again like Scales and Christie Hate the loan system as it just allows teams to manipulate their squads, and loans between teams in the same league should just be banned

  5. Reminds me of the time when the sinister minister, the Rev Mike McCurry, was blaming Aberdeen fans for sending him dead rats in the post I can’t remember who it was but someone on the old site was blaming Royal Mail saying ‘they were alive when I posted them’

  9. We could literally line up this weekend with four of our starting line up being loan players. When you take into account the money we have spent in the last three transfer windows, I would strongly suggest that that is an unacceptable scenario in anyone's language So much for the apparent trading model

  10. Porteous would be a great signing. Morrison must have something about him but not so clear cut.

  11. Goodwin was at St Mirren (as manager) for nearly three years, and is coming up to his third anniversary at Dundee United, so there's one comparison. I don't think his St Mirren or Dundee United sides have ever impressed the same way McGlynn's Falkirk side has. Does his age matter? He's early 60s, it's not that old really. I'm still intrigued by Robert Klauß, who you could argue has a track record that edges Thelin in that he has been involved at big clubs before, has more coaching experience, and has managed outwith his own country. He would fit your young manager profile. However, I would be really keen to see how McGlynn - in his own words - got on with money to spend. Interestingly, Jamestown Analytics, apparently, rated McGlynn above McInnes & Robinson, but they ignored the ratings to appoint McInnes, likely because the optics of bringing McGlynn back for a third spell wouldn't have been great.

  12. I’ll happily buy into a new way, any way, that doesn’t involve constantly embarrassing yourself by pissing about with the ball in your own box, inverted fuckin wingers, and a lone striker being absolutely hung out to dry by zero service. Anything, I’ll buy into it, anything…

  13. Having watched the Falkirk vs Diets game at the weekend I’m happy to concede that McGlynn deserves proper consideration. He’s got those lads running through brick walls for him - can’t remember the last time I could say that for us. Well organised, tactically disciplined and he made the right changes at the right times. Good manager, no doubts about that. Askou is still my guy, but if its not him, we could defo do a lot worse…

  14. Bit late posting as not long back from A&E getting treatment for 3rd degree burns. Deary me that was grim again. Its abundantly clear now that formation is being imposed from above. No football person in their right mind would persist with this inverted winger nonsense surely? Disappointed in Lutz and Leven here. They should be making a stand to put a stop to it. The Clarkson / Mitov clusterfuck was a particular highlight too. Someone make it stop!! As for the game, just more of the same turgid crap, though a wins all that matters in the cup. This lot are not beating Motherwell though, no chance. Agree with lots of the comments: Nisbet played well, put in a shift and linked play well. He’s just getting hung out to dry with absolutely zero service. Cameron did fine. That midfield was all over the shop though. A decent team will destroy it. Milanovic - not a footballer. Gyamfi - having serious doubts. That one where he let it bounce, lost it then fouled the Raith boy to stop a breakaway was a particular highlight. Karlsson - selfish, self centred prick. Just get rid. Topi - put in a shift, but he’s just not a footballer. Game intelligence of a blacmange. Near £1million fee, fuck me. We lost about 95% of the high balls into the box again today. The Raith No. 9 Hamilton won everything. Milne cannot time a defensive header to save his life despite being about 6’5”. Polvara not much better though he’s not a CH, so I’ll cut him some slack. For the love of god AFC go sign a couple of proper CH’s with presence and arial ability or we are in serious trouble again. Big week ahead, let’s just hope we can get some transfer business done cause by christ we need it…

  22. The boats they are blowing up have a range of around 50 miles at full speed and are being blown up 1500 miles from the US coast line. THAT says a lot. If the genuine concern is drug cartels then why give a pardon to Juan Orlando Hernandez (no relation I’m sure) who was literally trafficking drugs (400 tonnes of cocaine) to the US?

  25. Hitler got the German economy going again too. He put money into the pockets of the people and pride back into a nation. They also liked to threaten nations and take control of them. There are certainly parallels between 1930s Germany and Trumps America. There are also quite a few, really scary fuckers behind Trump, who I am quite sure are influenced by Nazi ideology.

  27. According to Private Eye, he has been told to pony up £700k, by a Scottish court, which are legal costs of someone he took to court and lost against. He is now trying to get around it by saying he doesn't have to pay it, as he is the American President. The Judge is taking none of his shyte though. A little victory maybe, but still nice to read it.
