  1. This is the best match thread ever!! More dogs! Here's mine, his name was Wyvis and sadly he passed away a year and half ago. I'm still broken by it . Also he was an Alaskan Malamute not a fucking husky (used to do my head in when people called him a husky)

  6. They all say the right things like "I'm buzzing to be at a big club" and "I want to do well for the fans". I would be more endeared to a player who told the truth when they joined us: "I've never heard of Aberdeen FC until now". "I'm only here until I can find somewhere better".

  7. Hi, my name is Buzz

  8. I saw him as a bit of a lightweight initially, and wondered if he had it. He proved that my doubts were misplaced in the cup semi-final, and the final, as well as being handy in Europe. He’s the kind of player that from now until summer, in dour struggles with those fuckwads with whom we share a league, we’ll be saying, “Ach, if only the yankee boy wis here”. Good luck, Dante min, min

  9. All the best Dante min. Some thought you were too lightweight for Scottish football, but you had more balls than most, when you stepped up and put away that penalty last May. Regardless of what anyone thought of him, he will always be known as an AFC Scottish Cup winner. Not many can claim that.

  11. The only potential hazard being confusing them with urinal blocks

  12. Thanks Al. The only thing we can't protect them from is time. 7 out of the 10 years I had Wyv I was able to have him with me whilst working. Thankfully one of those years was the last one and we were rarely apart for more than a few hours in his final year. I would genuinely crawl over a mile of broken glass for my now friend Ruth who gave me the job that allowed that to happen. Personally I would only take on another dog if I was doing it with the right person and they were OK with that dog being a Mal. We should probably start a dog's/pets thread in off topic come to think of it.

  14. You're right. Probably the way it should be to be honest. When none of us have a clue about half the options, we'd really only be telling each other how much we don't want Robinson, but that we'd get behind him if he did get the job. The new manager every season got boring before and after Calderwood, and again after McInnes. It's quite jading.

  15. I'd argue that Ramadani never added either of those. What he did add was legs and being first to second balls. When Goodwin insisted on playing Ramadani, for months, in front of the defence taking the ball from them and trying to link play, he was absolutely terrible. He wasn't particularly physical either. As soon as Robson moved him alongside Shinnie, ahead of Clarkson we were flying. They were both tenacious and quick to every second ball, with Ramadani great at intercepting and closing down, without requiring to be particularly strong in the tackle. I'm not saying he shirked a challenge, just that he was not particularly aggressive. He was just everywhere. There's a good argument to say that we could have had what Ramadani offered via Aouchiche if either manager had recognised it, as his coverage and closing were both excellent. I'm really hoping that Leven (and beyond) doesn't make the mistake Goodwin did with Ramadani with the new lad by playing him as a sitting defender. He doesn't strike me as the type who is best utilised sitting deep, but rather pressing high and all over. That's based on YouTube and stats though.

  16. Just watched his "welcome" interview on Red TV and to be fair to him he genuinely appears to be buzzing to be with us, so fair play to him for that. Say's himself that he is aggressive and nasty on the pitch. Looking forward to his first encounter agaisnt the unwashed hun scum. Jist point out Bag Eyes Barron to him. The just sit back and enjoy the show

  17. As discussed. All other pet pics and stories are of course welcome but Swaddons suggestion for a name for the thread was just too good to turn down.

  19. Aye fair does. Anyone that wants can post same picture on here OR a different one if they want. Intrigued to see some pictures of pets other than just dogs. I'll make no bones about it (sorry no pun intended ) but I am just an animal lover

  26. He looks a topper mate So sorry to hear that he passed over the rainbow bridge. People that don't understand the real bond between a human and their dog often think they are being helpful and react by saying "Aye, but you'll get another dog" whilst not understanding you haven't lost a dog but a family member. Eighteen months is about the time we waited between losing our lovely cross collie/lab and getting our black lab. He'll be twelve this year and already I worry about how I'm going to cope when he passes. As I run my business from my home office, he spends every day in my company.

  31. Even allowing for the 25% sell on fee due by them to Millwall that is a fantastic bit of business by Hibs if it goes through. Between us with the now Hun bastard, Motherwell with Lennon and this, it is good to see non arse cheek clubs starting to get half decent fees for players
