We seem to be all over the place with these loan signings, with no consistency and players in and out of the team barely given a proper chance. The lad was starting to look like a half decent player a few weeks ago. The fact he’s going to Schalke suggests he is still sought after.3 points

It’s a yellow at least, need to see it again but, intentionally or not, it’s a high tackle, studs up, and contact made. You can throw in persistent fouling, although while not persistent, he may have been warned that he was close. Shinnie can’t avoid tackling, that’s where leven has to have the stones to sub his captain. Agree shinnie was the only midfielder on the park, but that’s where leven earns his paycheck. It’s defeatist to say leave shinnie there cos the rest are shit, solve the problem. Put lobban to right back, devlin to center defense, and sivert at holding mid. That’s one suggestion. Far from ideal but sivert is experienced and can sit in that position, huge hole in there all day, bigger as a result of going down to 10. Not game to throw on Kjarten either when down to 10. That’s piss poor management.3 points

I think any Dons fan that travelled a minimum of 16 minutes to the game should be fully reimbursed by the club.2 points

You have to keep things moving in windows, it's a disaster not to. Whilst quality has clearly been an issue, imbalance is the real problem. Why on earth it's taken us until January to recognise the need for a strong midfielder is beyond me. We should have been getting much more from guys like Aouchiche, and Clarkson by just playing them correctly and understanding the roles they can play in. The idiocy of signing Cameron when we've got Armstrong and Clarkson was on full display today. Even Shinnie has been hung out to dry this season by still expecting him to do the work of two midfielders. We've offered zero platform for any of the signings - shite as many may be - to give their best.2 points

Aberdeen FC should not be losing 3-0 to anyone in Scotland. Anyone. Let alone Kilmarnock, let alone this Kilmarnock team. Out managed by Neil fuckin McCann Losing to a team with Kelle fuckin Roos in nets - and letting him get a clean sheet too. Jesus wept. No point doing a match summary, would take far more effort than any of those wasters put in today. New players, but same old, same old. There’s something fundamentally wrong with the culture of this club - has been for decades tbh as we’ve seen results and performances like this time and time again…2 points

Killie were howling for a booking for Shinnie in the first half as he barged over one of their players. He would have been off then. It would have been soft but what it should have been was a warning to our idiot manager that Shinnie shows no restraint and should have been saved for another day.2 points

Yeah we’ve elected some utterly shameful characters over here. I can’t think of any that would’ve been elected after mocking a disabled journalist or claiming to fancy his own daughter though. Americans must like that stuff1 point

You jest, but I think the height is actually fairly important. We tried and failed to play Clarkson in there because he was easy to press until he ended up playing in the same spot as the other midfielders (Barron was the casualty of that). Armstrong is 6ft. Whilst not a giant, he defends the ball better with his back to goal, whilst also capable of being more direct. It's rare that you get a small number ten in the SPFL that is successful. Maybe at the Tims perhaps, but I can't think of one. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cameron occupying the deep role that Clarkson and Barron play in after his next move. I don't think it would take long for teams to figure out Cameron at number ten. Perhaps Killie already did.1 point

Agree- Cameron is the younger Armstrong at no 10, not fitting them both in to same team maybe it was just to get another 5 foot 7 player into the midfield to make Shinnie feel taller1 point

That's exactly the sub I'd have made if Aouchiche had been an option. Jensen could have been okay, but that would have been a huge gamble. I think Leven is getting too much hassle for keeping Shinnie on without acknowledging the fact that his options were extremely limited. Shinnie is probably on about 60 bookings in his Dons career and had perhaps three reds, maybe four? He's had at least two early bookings this season and not been sent off. It wasn't a black and white call for Leven, he was between a rock and a hard place. Especially with Knoester off and having a lad playing his first game at the back.1 point

I feel sorry for whoever it is having such a shower of shite to pick from. Can't believe we have brought in more before he actually arrives.1 point

As you’ve said before, aouchiche puts in a shift. Yank Armstrong and shinnie and have sivert and aouchiche in midfield. Ha, just realized he wasn’t on the bench. I’d even put Jensen in there, he works, not a big fan but we needed change and energy in central midfield. While Cameron was poor, he’ll work too, a bit of motivating from leven at half time needed. rapidly losing faith in Armstrong, more cold than hot most games. shit daybreak ruins the weekend! fucked in central defense, hope knoester isn’t bad but certainly looks like an issue. Morrison didn’t look particularly good but tough game to judge. Expect to see sivert at the back a bunch and another defensive loan come in. aouchiche to schalke, if true i assume another big wage off the books. Wouldn’t mind seeing Marshall recalled if that’s the case.1 point

It's not defeatist. Shinnie is very, very good at playing on a booking. Your suggestion is a decent one, but Nilsen would have left us very short in midfield too. Leven took a calculated gamble that didn't pay off. Given the options, and past evidence of Shinnie's ability to avoid reds, I don't think it was a ridiculous decision.1 point

Well he got sent off - and as you said it was for fuck all. Why? Because the ref was dying to send him off. It was obvious. Hence, he should have been subbed…1 point

Haha. Laundry, ironing, and shopping for me. Maybe wash the car. Freed up 30mins here.1 point

Maybe, but that had all the hallmarks of a ref itching for the chance to send him off. It was obvious. Should have taken him off. And that’s 3. That should put the Leven for manager chat to bed at least. New guy this week please ffs. Meanwhile I’ve got ironing to do, will be better than watching any more of this latest pathetic capitulation…1 point

He has been much worse than the others. The others are doing nothing to create chances (although Keskinen has been okay), whereas Bilalovic is actively giving them chances as he's completely unable to hold his position and press his man. Whilst Keskinen isn't playing brilliantly, he's covering his fullback every time and showing discipline. It's an indisciplined display by Bilalovic that's the issue. I agree, we could take off any of the others for their performances too.1 point

That first goal isn't Mitov's fault. A good punch, with plenty of distance. Armstrong doesn't bother to close. Morrison doesn't look positionally great so far, but expect he doesn't know what his teammates are doing. Two goals deserved.1 point

Should be though? We've proven to be not much better at times, this season. A team on a bad losing run, facing us, always give me the fear.1 point

Someone had better try and retriever this thread from really going to the dogs and get it back on track. We expecting some changes by Lutz today? Clearly a change at the back needed and doubtful he will drop Mitov, which I have read elsewhere, can't see too many other changes. Hopefully our wide players can get onto the ball and whippet into the box for Nisbet to do his business and give us the lead. COYR1 point

This is Duncan. Hes a 3 year old Collie Retriever, so he's great at retrieving atuff ... once someone else finds it first. I chose his name from the thought of him running away in the park and me shouting his name to call him back. He was originally going to be called Barry, but that was a shit name to shout at full pelt in the park. So I went with Duncan instead1 point

Well this is fairly indicative of the levels of excitement that a game in Killie brings . I’m going to put up pictures of my wee nutter of a cat1 point

I know that. But all the captains and all the players have held, and showed off the replica, too. Eg the cup I held was the same one that was held aloft on the parade.1 point

I've bought a replica of the World Cup for our work's summer prediction league, and even though I know it's an £8 replica, I still look at it longingly like it's the real thing. I'm very easily pleased.1 point

"Dante Polvara says Aberdeen will always have a "special place" in his heart after the American midfielder sealed a permanent move to MLS side St Louis City." We've heard that type of thing before, Dante. Just don't ruin it by taking the Hun Pound.1 point

I saw him as a bit of a lightweight initially, and wondered if he had it. He proved that my doubts were misplaced in the cup semi-final, and the final, as well as being handy in Europe. He’s the kind of player that from now until summer, in dour struggles with those fuckwads with whom we share a league, we’ll be saying, “Ach, if only the yankee boy wis here”. Good luck, Dante min, min1 point
-
All the best Dante min. Some thought you were too lightweight for Scottish football, but you had more balls than most, when you stepped up and put away that penalty last May. Regardless of what anyone thought of him, he will always be known as an AFC Scottish Cup winner. Not many can claim that.1 point

Apologies about the source it is however worthy of sharing for Polvara's thoughts on AFC Wish him well https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/dante-polvara-reveals-hibs-transfer-366454371 point

He looks a topper mate So sorry to hear that he passed over the rainbow bridge. People that don't understand the real bond between a human and their dog often think they are being helpful and react by saying "Aye, but you'll get another dog" whilst not understanding you haven't lost a dog but a family member. Eighteen months is about the time we waited between losing our lovely cross collie/lab and getting our black lab. He'll be twelve this year and already I worry about how I'm going to cope when he passes. As I run my business from my home office, he spends every day in my company.1 point
