They should have a town crier delivering the latest manager news outside Pittodrie every day at 10 am. Or have a papal style enclave where they meet to choose a new manager. As soon as we see red smoke pouring out of the Main Stand, we will know if we have a new boss.6 points

What are you actually expecting though? Recruitment processes for high-level roles always tend to be fairly private out of respect for the people involved and their current employers. There's absolutely no need for the fanbase to be privy to names on shortlist and the like. When you look at how people jumped on and obsessed over the throwaway comment about it being advantageous for the next manager to have exposure to the Scottish game as being an absolute dealbreaker and that he'd be doing a massive U-Turn if he brought in someone that didn't fit that profile, it's no wonder he's saying the bare minimum.5 points

They should be putting out a daily statement informing us that they have no further update on the manager situation.3 points

I heard on the morning news that the Balmedie Weasel, formerly of the stinkies and Blues of Birmingham signed for Dundee overnight. This was the banner claes-pegged up on Pittodrie Street when the fucker left. As I recall, we did a deal to keep McCrorie and let the Hun join the Huns at their bigoted sash palace. I trust that he’ll get a warm welcome when we next play TMSTID?3 points

Or we could get the ground staff to block up all the drain and with another day of rain get the pitch unplayable.2 points

The club only had two days to find a centre back. Prior to the Livingston game one wasn't even on the cards. Morrison is a poor signing in my opinion, because of his age and lack of experience, which should have been obvious. But we were probably still hoping to see out the next two games and get Milne back alongside Knoester. We'll probably have had backup options that the recruitment team were looking at, but it isn't always possible to make things happen in January, especially with no prior contact before the weekend and on a short term deal. I don't think a freebie is ridiculous at the moment, or an indictment of the club, just bad luck.2 points

Reading up on the boy Geiger, says he has not played or performed since May 2025. Either have any of our lot, so he will fit in well eh2 points

It’ll happen when it happens. Some fucker I’ve never heard of naturally, since my “if it’s nae the Dons or Keith, I dinna give a fuck” mantra means I have no knowledge of any of the candidates whose names are being discussed, and I’m quite happy with that. I’d rather read a book than watch fitba in which I have no stake. 95% of the self-appointed experts throughout our dour support will have him written off within three fixtures anyway.1 point

Genuinely not far from what kiwi politicians love to do. Make an announcement that they’ll be making an announcement confirming the announcement in the future.1 point

If we persist with the playing out from the back pish, they'll likely want back doon the road soon enough.1 point

Same here. I took from Clarkson’s farewell post on social media that he wanted to play more for us!1 point

We've even reached the stage where the social media admin person is needing sacked according to some because the club apparently haven't released enough info on what specifically is wrong with Knoester. Social media is superb as long as you don't take it too seriously.1 point

While that's definitely true, it seems like we're pretty much in tear it all down and start again mode so one step back to take two forward is going to have to happen eventually. Plus a sizeable proportion of our fans will decide certain players are shite for all sorts of reasons so that's probably going to happen anyway.1 point

Sad to see Clarkson go, a complete failure by the club in that regard. I'm guessing that the writing has been on the wall with him for weeks though, and the signing of Cameron probably confirmed it. From that perspective, I'm a little glad he's gone, because another 6 months of his obvious talent sitting on our bench while we train up a Hun would have been unbearable! Cameron probably the only one there who could fulfil the deep lying role that Clarkson performed now though. It's so often the car that you eventually (potentially) get the players in the door to compliment a player just as he's leaving, and the two new midfielders look to do just that. Oh well.1 point

Not saying he would be good enough but would have liked to have seen him given a chance at some point1 point

Marshall’s contract expires in June and he is now free to talk to other teams. I suspect we will not see him in an Aberdeen shirt now.1 point

Really should have built a team around him. But we've fucked everything up over the last season and a bit.1 point

Maybe I should nip up the road to Killie and convince him to get it done1 point

The weird situation where they're booing Cameron and we're booing Wright, yet both clubs have signed actual Huns.1 point

It's all moot anyway but we wouldn't have had to pay £1.5m for Aouchiche, we could easily have said to Sunderland "nah, not paying that but we'll give you zero pounds instead" and got him that way. A decent player but we seem to have been clearing out the old loans to get the new ones in so on that basis it's no surprise he's away. On paper, a midfield of Aremu, Geiger and Cameron should be an upgrade on what we had before but I'm not sure a better midfield helps our inability to defend set pieces... maybe we're planning on 100% possession every week so that the other team can't even get a corner.1 point

The score will be anything Celtic want it to be. The day after, some turkey in a dons strip will promising to make it up to the fans. I barely care anymore with this lot. Even when they win, you know they’ll just let you down right after. We’ve probably had worse sides but this lot are very unlikeable1 point
-
I wouldn't mind even if we narrowly lost, as long as the players gave 100%. But there's no chance of that. As soon as they see the green and white hoops, the players will shite themselves and Celtic will get close to, or even surpass, our record home defeat of 0-6. And that's without breaking too much of a sweat.1 point

You have to keep things moving in windows, it's a disaster not to. Whilst quality has clearly been an issue, imbalance is the real problem. Why on earth it's taken us until January to recognise the need for a strong midfielder is beyond me. We should have been getting much more from guys like Aouchiche, and Clarkson by just playing them correctly and understanding the roles they can play in. The idiocy of signing Cameron when we've got Armstrong and Clarkson was on full display today. Even Shinnie has been hung out to dry this season by still expecting him to do the work of two midfielders. We've offered zero platform for any of the signings - shite as many may be - to give their best.1 point
