Well, ticket was bought last time so I s'pose I better. Didnt think 'Well were streets ahead of us yesterday,so we've every chance.Too many new players to know what to expect like but.... 5 - 1 the SC champs. Nisbet x4,Bilalovic3 points

The origin was our complete lack of forwards coming through and making an impact but it has evolved into the a possible reason why youth players feel the need to chase the dream down south due to your response being what it was. We just seem to have zero faith in players that have been with us since kids but are willing to spend way over the odds for imports that the average supporter can see from day one aren't anywhere near the level required.2 points

I don't comment much on games I don't see in person. It is all just rather messy at the moment. Having to play so many unknown players at this stage in the season, can never be a good thing. I'm Clinging onto the fact that we are still in the cup. We've had far worse seasons, but that's not much consolation.2 points

If you go with three as a minimum, then you’ve got Milne and Lobban as you say, who each still have plenty to prove. Ryan Duncan was given a reasonable number of chances but doesn’t seem to have “it”. Then there’s those who fucked off for a better offer like Boyd and a couple of others. There’s also the out on loan crew, out of whom it sounds like Marshall might have a chance. That’s not a great return but similarly it isn’t nothing and suggests we do try to give out young guys a chance. At the risk of repeating myself, it isn’t necessarily the lack of chances for our own youth that’s worrying me, it’s why our own youth aren’t good enough. Look at the Scotland youth squads and we don’t feature anything like as strongly as I think a club of our size should strive to. If they’re at Aberdeen and not good enough for Scotland at age group level then that’s a real concern.1 point

Exactly this. Rangers or Celtic winning things is the status quo. It just doesn't register. Not even a tiny scratch. However if anyone else wins a competition it's a body blow to our own reputation as the number one club outwith the Glasgow pair.1 point

In a similar vein, I almost always felt worse watching a “wee team” win a cup because when the Tims or the Huns won one then it was expected, whereas any of the rest who aren’t us winning one made me jealous as hell.1 point

We seem to be talking about different things. I thought we were speaking about strikers. I don't disagree that we have been poor in our transitioning of youth to first team. Personally, I think the club should go with quotas, and make it public so that fans can't complain when a youngster who possibly isn't up to it is getting minutes.1 point

I was responding in context to Bavidge. When he signed his three year deal with us, Lewis Pirie (the striker with more potential) signed for Leeds. What happens when they go down there and languish on their B team bench, I guess is irrelevant. Again, we're specifically speaking about strikers, and there aren't many who came through the youth teams playing in the SPFL (our very own Bruce Anderson of course). If they show any potential in that position, they get snapped up. Even Wilson at Hearts, which is a strange one. Bowie went to Fulham from Raith. The Huns and Tims have both lost strikers in recent times. A bit like goalkeepers, it's a difficult position to break through in.1 point

No surprise really. Never looked like he had the attributes to make it in the premier. Hopefully he'll go on to make a decent try of it elsewhere, as he seemed to have a decent attitude.1 point

Quality narration from Shady Mo. Tear to a glass eye. We're in Morgan Freeman voiceover in Shawshank's Redemption territory. Oh yes. What a day.1 point

I have this thought when I look at the league table - do I want Hearts to win the league? I'm conflicted. I detest Rangers and Celtic. Rangers more so, but Celtic not too far off. Outside of those two, it is then Hearts and Dundee Utd. Other teams are just football teams and don't bother me too much apart from the Killie home for retired huns set-up (and plastic pitch). If it came to a two horse race for the league between huns and Hearts, I would 100% want Hearts to win. However, if it came to Celtic and Hearts, I think (and I won't be sure until it happens) that I would want Celtic to win. My dislike for Celtic is greater than that of Hearts, but not enough that I would want Hearts to take away the fact we were the last non-Glasgow twosome team (taking both incarnations or the two separate huns teams into account) to win the league. If it meant Celtic winning the league to preserve that a little longer, then I think I would accept it. No fuckin way I want the huns to win the league, so would let our 'record' go if that were the case.1 point

Russia who have been struggling for four years to take back their territories from the Ukraine are supposedly a huge risk and if we don't stop them now they'll be up for taking the rest of Europe. I think not. Every government that wants to look strong needs a bogeyman and it would seem Starmer and his EU bum chums have chosen Putin. I'd train my cannons on America. That's where the real trouble makers are to be found.1 point

Well we’ve been worse, about all I can say about that. No surprise there though. New guys did ok, but all looked like folk who had hardly played this season. Never play Olusanya at right mid again, worse tracking back than Shady Mo. 2nd goal was another complete joke. Motherwell just have better players all over the park though - Motherwell ffs. They sign Longelo as a full back, we have the likes of Jensen & Gyamfi and how much more did they cost than him? If that doesn’t highlight how abject our recruitment has been nothing will. Bottom 6 now all but guaranteed. Cup likely gone Wednesday too, so season probably done mid Feb. There is no universe in which that is anything but completely unacceptable…1 point

Any win will do. Very little to suggest that might happen though. An early sending off for them would be our biggest hope of success so fingers crossed.0 points
