I guess the difficulty here is the penalty Dundee got against us. In my head if a player deliberately gets in front of a player who is travelling forward and initiates contact it’s not a foul. Both the Dundee penalty and the Armstrong one are not penalties but one is given. This is the problem.4 points

A lot of Dons fans said derogatory things about McInnes, so he can say what he likes about us. The hun c*nt.4 points

Yeah, twice, but they don't count because that prick Ferguson wore a maroon tie on Saturday, so we've disowned anything he won.3 points

Maybe, I’m just trying to build on some players rather than a total overhaul. Plus he’s been thrown in at the deep end, unfit, lack of match practice, with a managerless team with no confidence. He’s played 100 plus games in a good league, I think there’s something there.3 points

Aye, the guys an arsehole. Hopefully the remainder of those fans who were longing for him realise it now. Fuck the hun cunt.3 points

They could just drag a wheely bin into the middle of the goals and leave it there, and we still wouldn't score.2 points

Aw come on tae fuck Bertie-boy, there's a world o' difference between slavishly loving Alex Ferguson and advocating for the toppling o' his statue. You had a go at 'wokism' in an earlier post. For your information, one of the earliest uses of the term 'woke' (which started out as a positive term), occurred when activists campaigned for the removal of statues honouring public figures who made their name/fortune from the slave trade or other human rights violations. I for one agree that such individuals should not be honoured ... I would also like Cromwell Road to be renamed. But ... toppling the statue of Sir Alex Ferguson because he wore a purple tie? (Appropriate since he was a guest of HMFC ... he also wore a red scarf by the way). Can ye nae appreciate why folk think yer trollin'? That and referring tae fellow users fa disagree wi' you re. prospective Hearts title win as 'spastics'? Callin' folk spastics was funny back in primary school ..... and you suggest others 'grow up'? Well sir, I think most o' us have grown up enough nae tae be disparagin' o' people wi neurological conditions and/or to suggest fellow posters have some physical/mental/sensory disability which prevents them from seeing things our way and no other. Ah like the fact you are generally positive and optimistic re. Dons, and hope you continue to post in such a manner .... but for others tae be accepting o' your position, ye really need tae be tolerant o' the position of others.... that would be a good start ... or restart even.2 points

Just BIN VAR it's been a massive failure if reducing controversy was ever it's intended goal. For me it's been introduced with the purpose of entertaining armchair fans. Probably at the behest of the TV companies who now have a massive say in the game. The in your recliner chair experience is admittedly quite good especially if you're watching a game as a neutral. However the in the stadium experience is entirely different and not in a good way.2 points

I watched Sportscene highlights. Another cracking hit by a Dundee player to earn them a draw. The lad Congreave looks a decent player. I remember us all laughing at them appointing Pressley and having him down as first to be sacked this season. He's actually done a decent job with them, considering their transfer policy has been even worse than ours in recent seasons. He has also brought in some decent young players. Don't worry. I'm not campaigning for Pressley as our next manager.2 points

Jist a wee note for younger folks fa might nae ken, Alex Ferguson would visit other clubs' games regularly when he was still a player wi Falkirk, Ayr Utd and also while manager o' St. Mirren. As a young lad, match day would start wi' the buyin' o' a match programme, then hangin' around the main entrance acostin' players for their autographs ... there were at least 3 occasions where Ah spotted SAF walkin' doon Pittodrie Street on his way tae see the game .... so it could be claimed he had a connection tae the Dons way longer than might be apparent. However, such a claim wid be outrageous in view o' the countless stadium stand seats the presence of his squeaky bum has graced over the decades. My guess is, he's simply a fitba man - start tae finish, aa the wye through an' twice on a Sunday - fa jist enjoys a good game o' fitba .... especially if he gets in for nithin!1 point

Superb on pitch interview. That's just reminded me. Ferguson and Knox both had maroon jackets in the early 80s. Wore them at Gothenburg for one. So the signs were there already. If only we'd noticed.1 point

I honestly don’t know. I have a season ticket at East End (my sons are Pars fans) so I bought my tickets through that. They don’t have a loyalty points system like The Dons. I got mine in the main stand close to the area I thought we would be getting as I’m going with my Dad who’s in his 80s. He introduced me to The Dons when I was a youngster.1 point

Yeah but it was a disgrace of a performance. Miller and McLeish won it by themselves. Then we only went and done it again.1 point

Dunfermline are keeping the east part of the main stand for themselves. They are going on sale from 10am tomorrow. I am sure some exiled Fifers in the North East might by some.1 point

Given we’re at home, think we have a chance of scoring. Celtic are still pretty ropey at the back and they’ll have an eye on the QF. Hopefully Murray plays at CB1 point

Long time no see guys. Heard this place mentioned on the AFC Donscast and thought I would check it out for the first time in years. It. I fear for Wednesday, Celtic are gash but we will still treat them like the are prime Barcelona. I think 3-1 Celtic1 point

My predictions are clearly shite. Like I said before though, I'd play the players who can't play v Dunfermline (Geiger for one, is anyone else suspended?) and give those who need minutes - Frame, Lobban, Morrison, Armstrong, Bilalovic, Lazetic, Aremu, a run out. Our entire season is now all about the cup. Without Nisbet, I don't think we have the players to play an effective front three. I'd play a front two.1 point

Looking at the top 4's pre-split fixtures, looks to me like Hearts have the easier run .... Ah can see them bein' 8 points clear come the split, and would need only 6 points off Falkirk an' Hibs ... and 2 points fae the ither 3 games ..... less than that if the famous Aberdeen can tak at least a point each fae the upcomin games v the cheeks1 point

I think it would be a big risk to keep Geiger on existing showings. I think we could do a lot better. Motherwell have about 4 better midfielders than him already! I'm not writing him off, because there is the possibility that he's just getting up to speed, but it looks to me like he's just not quite good enough in several areas. Players like that can be quite deceptive, I usually describe them as Milsom types, they look good because they have good balance, a nice touch etc, but they just turn out to be nothing players. However, if he can work on his athleticism, the average parts could turn into real attributes, if he's first to second balls and does the coverage and work required of a top midfielder. I think he has to do it this season though, or else we'll end up making the Palaversa error with him.1 point

2-2 .... come on Ref, blaa the fkn whistle! Aye, that's right ... Ah wanted this game tae finish as a draa. Each tae their ain, but much as Ah despise Hearts, Ah fkn detest the Bigot Brothers far mair. We're nae gonna mak top 6, so maybe it disna metter a lot tae us Dandies, but a season finishin wi neither o' the ugly sisters as league champs wid be a fine change at least .... even better if Motherwell (anither team Ah fkn despise) finish 2nd or 3rd ---- and if we keep oor hands firmly on that Scottish cup??? ... We could hae a season far BOTH arse-cheeks end up trophyless. Noo that would be somethin! Good for Scottish fitba? Ah'd guess 'probably' .... It fair shook things up when the famous AFC broke the duopoly in the 80s. Encouragin' for ither non-cheek clubs? ... Absolutely! Aw but ... the co-efficient .... ... fit aboot the co-efficient if 'lesser' clubs embarass themsels in Europe?? .... Err, fa cares? ... It winna be us, so at least we'll get a laugh. The fact it'll be bad for baith shades o' the filth is the clincher for me. Ah mean, it'll be 'disaster'! The fkn Apocalypse! They'll be fkn ragin' ... Demos ootside the grounds demandin heads roll etc ..... fkn bring it on!1 point

Where do we start? mitov is good keeper with a solid/good defense ahead of him. I think it will be hard on any keeper to excel with shite infront. I’d stick with the keepers we have for the sake of not overhauling so much. He’s not been great but worth keeping for now. right back is fine, lobban with devlin as back up. Left back frame and a signing, gyamfi just doesn’t look like an athlete or good enough. central defense, I’d sign McIntyre, keep Milne and kneuster, and a marquee £££ central defender needed bought. Molloy back up for LB and CB. weve got to spend in midfield. Need proper right and left wingers, topi is back up. Bilalovic too who could come good. Punt milanovic. center mid, much like central defense, need a legit signing. I’d keep Geiger, give him a preseason and I think he’s our cammy devlin. You have shinnie and Kjarten to give competition in there. Afeez too although yet to see anything to suggest he can play. Sign Cameron or a legit 10, and him, Armstrong, and Marshall compete for that position. up top I think we need a legit 9, plus nisbet to compete for the starting job. Lazetic too although he’s done little to suggest he’s a long term player for us. we have few players who we have to keep but I just don’t think a total overhaul helps us, again. We have to retain some to build around, it can’t be another 10 plus signings. Quality over quantity this summer which is very difficult. I also think we have a good few followers who have the ability to perform with new quality leaders around them. 6 signings essential/starting quality needed - central defender, right wing, left wing, center mid, 10, and 9. That’s a really hard ask, most likely impossible, but a much needed 6 to build around if we want to be a top 6 team.1 point

Good grief, managerless derangement syndrome is certainly kicking in on this site! Not as bad as chat but going downhill fast! Back on task, anything more on horneland or a new manager? Any more on this new first team coach?? multiple factors in our shocking season, but a new guy coming in will now start in June, preseason will be the league cup, which is not a bad thing. We royally screwed up preseason last year, the early competitive games are a good thing, plus time to train without the added European games…..although I haven’t written off the Scottish cup. given it will be the league cup, prob move my comments to the summer 2026 transfer window as building a squad for next year is a huge project…..again! The new manager needs to working now with the recruitment team, I suppose horneland can certainly do that without being officially hired?1 point

That’s fine in a pre-VAR world where games were officiated in isolation to some extent. Even then there were still ‘rules’ being applied, there was just a lot more interpretation allowed. VAR has almost enforced a level of scrutiny and specific clarification of what constitutes a foul in granular detail. On top of that, we now have officials who are either not willing or not able to referee the game in front of them so we are operating with a different set of standards that lean towards consistency of application. I’m not a fan of the current situation and would gladly see us revert back but I’m not willing to accept that I’m an idiot for hoping for the rules to be applied consistently either.1 point

I don't know about "always a hun". After the way that club treated him, I like to think his love for them ended when he left Ibrox for the last time as a player.1 point

So we turning on an 83 year old man, who won us three titles, four Scottish Cups, one League Cup, one European CWC a Super Cup and the 1986 Tennents Sixes Doesn't matter where he watches his football or the colour of his tie, the important thing is he gave us our greatest spell as a club. We should focus our anger on the shitshow we put up with on the field, instead of turning on Fergie. He was always a Hun, which makes his record with us all the more sweeter.1 point

Meh, he brushed past the guy. Geiger was shite yesterday, and he started tanking around hacking at folk. He's lucky he didn't get a second yellow after the game and needs to sort his shit out.1 point

I think Celtic will win at Ibrox but drop points at Pittodrie. Not because we're any good, but because this season is fucking mental and it's going to end with Hearts winning the league and Aberdeen beating Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi then Mitov failing to save a single pen in the shoot out v Jim Goodwin's Dundee United. I've went off on a bit of a tangent there...sorry. Play the reserves & Geiger, and save everyone for East End Park.1 point

Finding it hard to care about this one, or any other league fixture we are involved in at this stage. Just make it stop. League has come down to hoping the Motherwell train can derail Jambos and the scum and that Killie’s resurrection has now fallen flat on its face. What a time to be alive.1 point
