There'll be no VAR for this game, which is a surprise because usually it's a requirement for televised games at this stage of the competition. But, will add to the traditional cup tie feel.4 points

Not all the credit, you’re right crowds do seem to have increased in general, but he does deserve some credit for it. Red Shed, sign for the Dons sessions, singing section, free U12 ST’s in family section, beer at the fitba, better fan displays and engagement - he’s done a fair bit, and even one of those things on its own is more than Milne ever did. I’m absolutely not giving him a free pass, and I totally agree he needs to stay right out of the fitba side as his vision and plan for that side of things has been a car crash - hopefully the appointment of Lutz is acknowledgement of that - but I cannot see a scenario where I’d ever see him as anything but a massive upgrade on the useless arsehole that went before him…4 points

Agree word for word. I'd also add that he's pretty good at assigning credit to Burrows and the rest of the commercial team for a lot of that stuff rather than claiming he did it all himself. Not perfect but better than many other chairmen/owners cutting about football these days.3 points

The same way flu shots are, despite each form having been invented that winter. The mRNA vaccine had indeed been in the making for a decade. As far as I'm aware, it hadn't been through trials for much, or perhaps any, of those years. You wouldn't ordinarily expect a decade of trials for such things, I'm not sure that figure is relevant.2 points

For once I disagree. There weren’t really clear benefits to vaccinating children, other than for their grandparents for instance. We vaccinated them to protect the rest of us. Isolated them to protect the rest of us. And we’re now seeing the price they paid. Had I been the one making the decisions I might have done exactly the same. Hindsight is 20/20.2 points

No he wasn't. It would have been exceptionally unfortunate to have his hand ball deemed a penalty.2 points

They were holders when we drew them in 68-69. The Saturday date at Pittodrie was called off due to the weather, so it was hurriedly arranged for the Monday evening, where it ended in a draw. The fixture backlog was so bad, that the replay was scheduled for the following evening in Dunfermline. Ally Shewan sustained a broken toe on the Monday evening, but just got the club doctor to give him an injection and he played as usual. Tough as fuck Proper Mannies’ left back. No fannies in our squad then. Davie Robb scored twice to put us through, unexpectedly, because we’d had a poor season (we finished 15th in an 18-club league, as I recall). We beat Killie 3-0 at Rugby Park in the quarter final after a 0-0 draw, but fucked up badly in the semi-final at Parkheid, where the dead zombie liquidated cunts of hell and several surrounding postal code areas gave us a 6-1 doing. As fresh in my mind as if it was yesterday, but I hivna a clue where my specs are.2 points

0 points out of 6. That was nowhere near Hearts first team and it’s the worst Celtic side I can remember. We’ve not won many points against the rest of them either. I know your turd polishing is performative but nobody is going to fall for it2 points

My Brother went down the covid vaccine rabbit hole and is now a huge follower of Neil Oliver, as he tells us the things that Governments don't want us to know. I think I've posted before, but he claims his leukemia was due to the Vaccine, but his issue was he had his cancer before the vaccine. Unfortunately, Google has replaced common sense for a lot of people.2 points

5 points out of the last 39. That is humiliating for all concerned.2 points

This may have been replied to already, but I’ll pull you up on this. The vaccine was years in the making, saying what you have shows you’ve no idea about how they’re developed (which is fair enough). It wasn’t magicked up like the anti vaxxers claim with all their froth. but also, fuck trump and Netanyahu.1 point

My first memories of a Cup game at East End Park was in the late 70s. I was in the main stand with my Dad (as I will be on Saturday). A solitary goal from Joe Harper put us through but my abiding recollection of the game was a constant stream of supporters being led out of the stadium by the police as it was all going off on the terraces opposite.1 point

1) My comments are neither performative, trolling or phishing. Just my opinions and I comment for the same reasons as anyone else does on a forum. If you don't agree with them that's fair enough but please don't try to shut me down with your obviously toxic and passive aggressive snipes. I'm too long in the tooth to let it bother me. 2) I surely can't be the only one who can see we are a vastly improved team in recent times. Some of the passages of play are absolutely superb. Obviously we need to keep it up for the whole arc of the match rather than just short periods but that will come. 3) While it's true our improved performances haven't paid off yet in terms of points on the board surely no-one can seriously suggest we aren't a better side now than we were months ago. 4) I'm not touching on any particular point you raised but I want this put on record. We won't go down. We won't even come close to it. In fact I'm confident we will win if not all, almost all of our post-split games to finish either 7th or 8th. I'll let you get back to your moping. Whatever makes you happy.1 point

Thought last night is best we have played in a while. Shape suited players we have and way opposition approached the game. Thought Nilsen Molloy and Milne all played really well at the back. Downside is we played well but still lost to the worst Celtic team I can remember coming to Pittodrie in a long time. We didn’t have the quality in midfield to cause them enough problems.1 point

Geiger is a superb player. One of the best at the club.1 point

Haven't seen the highlights but his booking looked softish...a few spetic players did something similar without getting booked, I assume that Nilsen was already on Walsh's case verbally so he was itching to book him.1 point

Between Cameron and Nilsen for me. Best I have seen Nilsen and we got worse as soon as he went off.1 point

This. Interim Pete said on Sportsound that he thought that Milne was just suffering from cramp. The one still of the Stinkies’ second goal shown on Section Y TV looked hoorin like offside to me. The best I’ve seen us play in weeks. The usual knuckle-draggers’ scapegoats, Nielsen and Jensen did well, and Armstrong possibly was the most involved I’ve seen him since he signed.1 point

Just back. We weren't terrible. Cameron MOTM, and head in his hands in the 92nd minute as he knew immediately what he should have done (must be weird for a Hun not to automatically cheat). That's the worst Tim team I've seen in a long time. I'd say that they were there for the taking, but not when you have a cursory glance at our first eleven. That midfield is weak as piss. Geiger chasing shadows for a lot of it until he decided he'd had enough (although Shinnie never got up to speed when he came on either). Olusanya played well, apart from when he got the ball, but that's what we needed. Bilalovic was not only poor when he came on, but he also never did the work. Lazy was an understatement and it should be his last appearance for a while. Frame started poorly, but had a good game. Milne did well until he hurt himself with that random slip. Nilsen was good and Morrison was okay, with Molloy just being dependable mostly at the back. Armstrong fine but really needs to be playing further forward so it's easier to deal with his errors, especially towards the end when he was shattered. I'm fairly convinced that Hearts are winning the league after seeing that Tim team.1 point

We played well against a nervous Celtic team, but the usual story in the end - fuck all to show for it. I wasn’t a fan of bringing Cameron in on such an odd deal but I thought he was superb tonight. Nilsen, for all the rightful slagging he’s had in the past, looks comfortable at centre half and played well. Geiger on the other hand has done nothing since he arrived.1 point

Just back. Thought we played well tonight. Olysana is just a black Curtis Main. Never a footballer. Jensen and Nilsen did well. I thought Nilsen had his best game for us. Nisbet put in a shif as usual. Cameron was good, probably hoping his employers were watching. Armstrong was spent early second half. Molly was decent, Frame improves with every game and can fairly cross a ball. I don't watch much fitba, outwith the Don's, but the regression of the Septic team is startling. They are really shyte. Play like we did tonight on Saturday and we'll be OK. Jack off injured wasn't good to see. Stretched enough at the back as it is. A strange atmosphere at the game tonight, even outside the ground before it, felt more like a Livi game than the Tims. Gnasher was up on the big screen, reading his phone. The manager guy was also up on screen, sitting next to Lutz, up in the stand and not on the bench.1 point

Olusanya would be some player if he knew what to do with the ball when he had it.1 point

Of course theres information on both sides but half of it is complete shite. You can say that about any subject on planet earth. What will really frazzle your mind is why you’re saying it about vaccines. It’s the same reason transphobia has gone through the roof, it’s the same reason why folk disproportionately hate immigrants and it’s the same reason why folk use the word ‘woke’ to describe everything they don’t understand. I guarantee you if you had unplugged your internet cable in 2013, none of this would matter to you Anyway, here’s a handy link. Read it, or don’t. The facts stay the same regardless http://www.docbastard.net/2019/03/busting-vaccine-myths.html?m=11 point

Will be in the Elizabethan from around 3pm trying to block out the events planned circa 19:45 onwards. Expect it’ll be doors closed from about 5pm, wall to wall red army. COYR.1 point

FFS min. Of course our Government learned from it. If it happened again tomorrow, they wouldn't organise their office parties through WhatsApp.1 point

I accept that the perception of vaccines are different when it comes to the COVID one but I don’t accept that the COVID vaccine was unsafe or there was any legitimate reason for anyone of any age not to take it. The response from various governments around the world is a separate argument altogether. The US & UK made many baffling decisions based on their competence. Nicola Sturgeon was despised (especially in the NE) for what I would say was a pretty decent attempt at facing a pandemic. Some countries did better than others. Sweden was absolutely shite before anyone starts. If it happened again, we would all make the exact same mistakes because we’ve learned nothing from the experience1 point
