There is absolutely nothing about Cormack's time in charge of the footballing side of things that has Milne's paw prints on it. Other than the appointment of Robinson*. The rest has been data and processes. Even off the field we have been nothing like we were under Milne.
It's possible that two chairman can be equally shite for different reasons.
* I don't mean Milne appointed Robinson, just that he's in the Milne-esque category.
We’re still utterly shit at football - just like we have been for most of the last 30 years.
That’s got Milne’s greasy paw prints all over it.
There is no good reason to keep that utter failure hanging about, none.
For the avoidance of doubt, I’m not a fan…
I don't disagree, but the point I was responding to suggested that Cormack's tenure had Milne's paw prints on it, which I don't think is true. As far as it is possible for us to tell, via evidence, the two's approach to chairmanship, to date, is significantly different.
His choice to sit next to him & not fire him into space reflects very poorly on him and is part of a consistent pattern of poor choices.
Im very worried about Milnes input. I want to know how involved he is, especially when Cormacks out the country. We’re certainly resembling a club that has Stewart Milne involved in its running
He should not still be here stinking the whole place out. He had his go and it was beyond shite
Nope, plain sliders.
I was a little bit drunk, when I bought them.
I don't even like ice cream that much. I think I must have had a nostalgia rush, when I heard the chimes.
I'm fairly certain Dave is an adult who can choose who he sits next to at the fitba. I wasn't partial to Milne's chairmanship, but he's a Dons fan going to Dons games every week. I doubt he has much input at all otherwise.
I'm fairly certain his shareholding, and his previous preference shares, entitles him to sit on the board if he wants to. He's not an employee, you can't just fire him.
His shareholding doesn’t mean Cormack gets to sit next to him in the stand and listen to his pish. The mind boggles as to what words of wisdom he’s sharing
The first thing Cormack should’ve done was get shot of him.
Windass wasnt signed till the following season
A young Ian Crocker did the commentry for the playoffs with the cringeworthy 'Shear-errr magic' after the 2nd goal in the first leg. Note the playoff set up back then slightly favoured the 1st division team with them getting the second leg at home. Heaven forbid that happen now.
It seemed to be a season where finally come March the likes of shearer etc said 'right FFS we are better than this' and got their act together. Being pre bosman there was perhaps the fear of where they could end up of relegated and perhaps more 'pride'
Lasting memories are being in a mates parents car outside rollerbowl inverness and the radio being switched on just in time to hear Dodds winner at Tynecastle and his Dad being shocked to hear it was a potentially relegation saving goal, and hearing Shearers 2nd against utd go in while my Dad and I were driving through Beauly.
Also still occasionally watch this
