It’s crazy that we are hurting so badly in center mid. We allowed Clarkson polvara aouchiche and sivert leave, all who were not long term for us, but would probably start ahead of most of what we have now. where was Geiger yesterday? Horrible to throw youth at the problem, but I’d prefer to see Kjarten over afeez, who looks like our central midfield Ambrose so far. id go w shinnie Geiger and Kjarten in there, but awful that we have no clue who to play when we have six games to save our season.

I think we’ve created a perfect storm in our recruitment this season. Too many technical players with no dig, too many CBs who can supposedly play out but can’t jump, too many wingers designed to ‘cut in’, too many young projects to optimise player trading, too many ‘they were fucking brilliant when they were 18 so they must be good even though they’ve been shite for the last 6 years’, too many loans or temporary contracts who don’t give a fuck. Did I miss any of the absolute shit show of a recruitment strategy that sees us utterly devoid of any structure, belief or confidence?

See? I'm not sure Robinson is getting us through this. He doesn't look to have motivated the players in any way whatsoever. He doesn't look like he can do pragmatic fitba at all either. He looks to have his preferred setup and type of player, and is somewhat clueless as to what to do with a squad of guys that are the exact opposite of that type.

Read the stats behind goals maybe 3-4 years ago, something like 20% of goals scored come from corners and free kicks delivered straight into the box. Hence you see many teams do this with everyone back, the objective to create overly crowded boxes and less space. I think if we left two up top, and go old school with two on the posts, then tell the rest they have to win a fucking header of get fined a weeks wages, we’d probably be more successful. Used to regularly run practices with deliveries into the box and the ball was not allowed to hit the ground in the box or we ran. We became fit as fuck, attacked the ball in the air a lot more, and won a ton more second balls.

Lobban on the right, frame or gyamfi, frame is young and has shown more in attack, maybe too inexperienced, but so is gyamfi I suppose. Geiger Kjarten and shinnie, nisbet and olusanya. Not a lot of flair or width so two up top w a bit of pace from olusanya is a must. we also need a three man center mid with a bit of physicality to get us in the front foot. 2-1 us, nisbet and olusanya!

Not for the first time, I had absolutely no idea what we were trying to do yesterday. You could see it was wrong after 2 minutes. The whole ground was just waiting on it happening.

Certainly no new manager bounce, if anything yesterday was worse. Worrying for sure.

I have followed the Dons for many decades, taking in games at Pittodrie when I can and watching on TV at other times. This is the most pathetic and lazy bunch of players I have ever seen and the football is boring beyond belief to watch. Saw the Falkirk game at Pittodrie a couple of weeks ago and we almost left before the half-time pie. Scheduled to be in Aberdeen next weekend but I really don’t think I can be arsed to waste another afternoon and £100 for us to go to Pittodrie again. Might change my mind on the day but regrettably I can’t imagine that we will win or even put in a decent performance. Disillusioned and frustrated - I wish the players cared as much!

Not gonna give you a laugh by attempting to pick out positives, but for me, the 'least negatives' were Gyamfi, who in the second half actually looked like offering a threat, ... and Lobban who, in the short spell he was on the pitch, did more in an effective attacking sense than Jensen (and nearly every other) managed the whole game. Olusanya showed at times he could be a real asset .... and at other times a real ass-hat .... but he certainly ran his ass-hat off. I stand by my earlier comment re. no lack of effort .... but - especially in the first half - that effort was chasing shadows .... wasted effort! ..... Anyone who knows my post history on Abmad will know I generally refrain from being over critical ... but holy fuck! .... and here's an issue which is long standing, about which there seems to be no prospect of resolving .... Throw ins!! How on earth do we manage to gain no advantage from the vast majority of our throw ins? Ah mean ... ffs .... if you close your eyes and fling it, there's roughly a 50-50 chance of findin' a team-mate .... if you open your eyes, you might actually find one with the space to control the ball, make a pass and retain possession .... even if it's a pass back tae the keeper. Ah shaks ma heid!
