You’d have been impressed with Keith when Allan Hale was the gaffer. At opposition corners, he’d put our main striker Mikey Ewen in the centre circle, and two wide players on the halfway line the width of the pitch apart. It spooked opposition managers and players and it was quite successful in both leaving the defending to defenders, and keeping hairy-arsed ex-convict delinquent defenders out of our box.

3 managers this season now and none of them have managed to get a tune out of this lot. It’s clearly the players that are the issue, and by default the horrific recruitment. Not a single even half decent signing last summer, not one. Its actually pretty remarkable. Your point about Robinson not having a squad here suited to his style is why I had serious reservations about him as our manager, and its playing out as feared so far. We probably need 2 wins from the last 6 to guarantee being safe given goal difference, maybe 2 wins and a draw. We’ve got 4 home games too, but is anyone confident this lot can achieve that? See? I'm not sure Robinson is getting us through this. He doesn't look to have motivated the players in any way whatsoever. He doesn't look like he can do pragmatic fitba at all either. He looks to have his preferred setup and type of player, and is somewhat clueless as to what to do with a squad of guys that are the exact opposite of that type.

Never heard the argument that getting relegated is a good thing. It would be a huge negative and there’s no guarantee you come straight back up.
