I grew up in Westhill and we used to call people from Skene teuchters. It was a four minute drive away and we all went to the same school The topic of whether Aberdeen will go down, it being the worst thing that has ever happened to us, and possibly happening within days of Hearts winning the league? I'd rather know your chippy/chipper order to be honest. If you're a pizza crunch supper kind of gadji, that's okay, this is a safe place to share.

Maybe a teuchter is relative to where you come from? So growing up in Aberdeen made us look at those country yokels as teuchters. If they bide where there are tractors they're teuchters. Maybe?

I'm ashamed to say I used to call it a chipper and allowed myself to be bullied into calling it a chippie when I moved to Glasgow. All this garbage from Aberdeen are serving up is probably my karma. I sorry but I have to disagree. Teuchters are from anywhere further north of Aberdeen than (and including) Newmachar and further west than Kingswells. Otherwise, why would the bus to Newmachar, or any bus that isnae a toon bus, be called the teuchy bus?

Teuchters are from the highlands and there (as it seems to be everywhere other than Aberdeen and its adjacent shire) it is a chippy.

Yep this. The recruitment has been a complete omnishambles for at least a couple of years, and this is exactly why. Completely forgot the basics in pursuit of a very ill judged strategy - the basics being you need a solid experienced team on the park that can cope with the unique requirements of this league…

Couldn't agree more. First two post split fixtures are massive for us. Win them and we'll be ok I reckon Maybe we could take Niall McGinn back for that last day as he has previous in that fixture

As much as it’s definitely clinging to small positives, it’s obviously far more likely we get wins at home than away. Am I missing something? Appreciate we are pish, which ever angle you approach it from but we are extra specially pish away. Not only have we not scored in an age, we aren’t even getting shots on target. I wouldn’t fancy us away against any side in the Scottish leagues at present. Contrast that with recent home games. We should arguably have beaten Dundee, even when we were down to 10 and a win against Falkirk wasn’t a stretch. I’m not trying to build a case we are good but unlucky at home but we are certainly more likely to pull out a result there.
