  1. Not sure he can be a contender for world cup call up, but I have been saying it for months he has been our best player this season (not much competition right enough) but in my opinion a one horse race for our POTY. In light of the shite we have had to endure this season it would probably be best to cancel the award, but if it has to be given to someone then for me it should be Nisbet. Anyway, massive three points which not very many of us were expecting, same again in a couple of weeks against Killie and we can then all start to breath a wee bit easier.

  2. Same story, different stories. Probably affects McInnes' Aberdeen legacy that.

  3. I reckon Stephen Robinson used this thread to motivate the players yesterday. Look guys, we've been shyte, but on top of all that, there are "fans" out their, who think a 'chippy' is a suitable term for a chipper. The only way to stop such talk, is to go out, win games and put them idiots back in their box.

  4. Sorry for giving only half the story, but he did come out of the Lido with a beige coloured package, which, if he had any sense, would have included a breaded fish (even though the fish down here is an abomination compared to the pearls of the sea haddock you get in the Broch) or a haggis pudding (but I agree with Mason here the Lido isn't the best (certainly not haggis anyway) I could not tell if the package included a mock chop or a King rib, but it definitely wouldn't have been a white or red pudding supper. There isn't a bog in the Lido but he could have been complaining about the sign...

  5. Not only players in retro kits but refs in a retro kit and tv coverage with old style graphics including the flashing R to tell you it’s a replay.

  6. BBC saying Viktor Orban has conceded. Given the opposition leader was previously park of Orban's party be interesting to see if there is to be any change in Hungary

  7. Oh, thank phvk for that. What a relief. Gives us hope that we can actually make 10th (christ....) We looked like a football team today. Whether that was because we were playing a team with one man less, that's something we don't need to worry about right now. A lot of things can be said, but I'm just ecstatic that we seem to be back in a positive direction now. Just get this season saved, and dealt with, and then we can be critical.

  8. It was Aremu’s best game for us, not saying he was great but I think to everyone he was better than anticipated. He actually looked somewhat fit. And while he gvae the ball away at times, I thought he was more mobile athletic and competitive today, plus on a good day at least gets his shot on target. For the role he plays, today is the first sign that he can actually play it. as poor as the season has been, nisbet has been interested and lively, two more goals as well. Perhaps a late add to the World Cup squad?? We’re not exactly fully of talented forwards, worth taking?

  9. Just on the subject of charity, I don’t want to make a donation when paying for my shopping, I can pack it myself and I dont want to chip in on my way out to the poppy foundation either. Fuck right off.

  10. Every year at our place, we get around £60 a head for the Mad Friday thing, which for around 300 workers, is quite a sizeable chunk of cash for folk that can easily pay their own way. During lockdown there was no shindig and they donated the money earmarked for it to charity, fair enough. I then made the suggestion that we should do this every year and pay for our own Mad Friday. I pushed for the funds to go to schools in poor areas. To say the reaction to this wasn't well received was an understatement. The entitlement was off the scale. I was genuinely taken aback by the abuse I got for suggesting it. I don't partake in Mad Friday and I also lose 10% of my yearly bonus because I won't do the charity stuff linked to it. We're meant to do it and post about it on the internal social media thing we use. Makes you want to boak. I still struggle to see why I am sort of being pushed out, as the oil industry up here dies. Was it something I said. I'm of the opinion that Utopia isn't happening in any of our lifetimes. No shit I hear you all say. You see the money being used to blow up the middle east and think how easily most of societys ills could be fixed if they really wanted it fixed and resources were used correctly.
