  1. Maybe a little fortunate to win but we’ve been unfortunate to lose this season too. Balances out.

  2. Watching this, it’s beyond me what folk have against Armstrong. He has more vision than the rest put together.

  3. I currently look after a child full-time. I'm possibly about to resurrect my business/systems consultancy business though, I'm procrastinating at present. The current is far more rewarding certainly, and equally as relevant to the future! Although if you want some work done, I'll give you DonsTalk discount.

  6. We got ourselves in front early, taking the pressure off and left killie needing a goal and they had to change their approach. We did play some good fitba at times and although Killie had more possession, we were unlucky ourselves a few times. We kept our shape and worked hard and even just a few weeks ago, we would have lost a goal, panicked and likely to have went on to draw or even lose that game. Robinson has achieved his first goal and now it's up to him and the recruitment team to add a bit more quality for next season and ensure we don't have another shitshow of a season.

  7. Think Robinson made the point post-match when he said it's about being hard to beat at the moment, which today we were. The standard of the squad is on a level with St Mirren, and therefore at our best we are basically St Mirren at their best. I don't expect us to be more dominant in games until next season.

  8. Just back Fuck that was cold. Display tifo thing before kick off was brilliant. I even took a picture on my phone. About the second one I have ever taken. Three points and a clean sheet. We're not finishing 11th, even if still mathematically possible. Olusanya does fine until given the ball. Never a football player, but brings us something. Feet up and roll on next season. Moog - Killie weren't the better team. We were the better team overall, but not by much.

  9. Just back. Great win, and an okay performance. A lot of hard work and good aggression across the pitch. I don't think we've got a good squad, but that's the level of application we should expect. We dominated for the first 25 minutes, but a change of shape by them, and they began to play round us. I thought Aremu played well when we were on top, but either tired quickly or was just too slow to affect things, again getting beaten by simple one-twos. Armstrong, Cameron and Nisbet were linking nicely, and Olusanya was creating space by charging about and hopefully not getting the ball (he really is a terrible footballer). Jensen was doing really well at harassing his man, but his final ball was atrocious. Frame was decent but tired. Geiger was very good when he came on, and Shinnie was what we needed too. The back three were fine for the most part and Mitov had a couple of good saves. Not brilliant, but just what we needed.

  10. Should these things not already he absorbed into the ticket price? Like I say, Aberdeen banked a few million from guaranteed group stage football yet we still tend to charge more than other clubs for play-offs/qualifiers. Let's not also forget Cormack's madcap idea to build a 16,000 capacity stadium to "drive up the demand", which sounds chillingly to me like a US-World Cup style dynamic pricing model.

  11. Apols if wrong forum. Im just on quickly to share and pay respects to a Dandies die-hard Dougie Strachan who recently passed after fighting a valiant battle against cancer. He was 60. Dougie grew up in Northfield and attended the academy. Next to his family he lived and breathed his beloved Aberdeen. He waa a sparky by trade. And frequented the Marischal bar in his younger days until he got “trapped” by his soul mate of 30 years. Dougie was fun, kindhearted, funny and his warmth filled up many a room. He introduced me to the Doric, and the Dons when I was up from Embra in 91-92 - towards the end of Alex Smith era. Im actually a Hibbie but stood on the terrace with Dougie supporting the Dons. The only part of the ground that’s uncovered. In Scottish football it’s the only terrace I have or will stand on outside of supporting the Hibs. Dougie wouldn’t want any fuss. Just thought I’d post here incase anyone knew him from the town or matches. So I’m not asking for a clap - maybe just a goal against the H*NS would be a fitting tribute to the great man. feel free to share on other forums he may have dipped into. stand-free Dougie - RIP fella. Mon the Dandies!
