His biggest issue is the physical side. If he can get more power, strength and running he has the ability to be an asset. Hedges was gash in his first season for the Dons, but spent the summer working on his fitness and returned a very good player. Milanovic has technical abilities, definitely, they're just nearly invisible because he's got the physical attributes of a teenager making his debut in Scotland. That results in him being frightened to get the ball and timid in general. He's a player that could certainly be useful with a lot of work. He'll never be like Morris, because he doesn't have the pace, but he could be the strong, direct, runner through the middle that Hedges was. It just depends on how much time Robinson is willing to spend on him, and how much the player is willing to work. I have my doubts about both those things.2 points

Maybe stating the obvious now, but I would say that’s us realistically completely safe (if not quite mathematically). Three games to go and St. Mirren are 7 points back and Kilmarnock are 6 behind. Bear in mind they still have to play each other, worst case is they both pick up 7 points or St. Mirren pick up 9 and Kilmarnock 6. If we weren’t to pick up a single point more and that were to occur they could catch us. They are worse off by a goal difference of 10 and 12 at the moment, possibly if the scenarios described did occur this could be within reach. But ultimately it would take quite a series of results for us to end up 11th now.1 point

You can guarantee that the Ojo-assaulting family (of inbred Jute cunts) club will have the after-burners on next weekend as we’re their cup final. I hate that disease of a club, although I do my best to disguise the emotion.1 point

Very poor comparison but miller and McLeish complimented each other, we didn’t really want two millers or two mcleish’s, we had great balance. Where I think knoester beats Milne is I think Milne is soft, and for his height is really poor in the air, he’s just not a center half, he’s not fearless and aggressive. Knoester is a central defender.I I think milne’s ultimately a midfielder. Adding a brute next to knoester makes more sense than adding a brute next to Milne. RE Gogic, he could do a job despite his age. If he’s athletic and mobile he could play until he’s 36/37 and fill in at holding mid and central defense. Kinda what I expected from sivert, then we realized he couldn’t bend his legs or move.1 point

The only players from last nights team that I would want next season as first team are Nisbet, Geiger and Frame. Aremu, Knoester and Armstrong could still do a job for us depending on who plays beside them. The rest offer next to nothing. The sad thing is the most likely out of all that will be Geiger away and we will be stuck with Olusanya and Milanovic.1 point

Disappointing to draw after being ahead twice but overall I thought that was a decent point. We were really good in the first half and Geiger impressed me for the first time. Livi were obviously far more of a threat the second half but there was element of fortune with their first and some ping for the second. If we had snuck a winner we would have been worth it. I'm honestly not sure there is much point in judging our style of play and individual performances too much at the moment though, we are in a slog out the last few games then go lick our wounds in the summer scenario. @Rico re Shinnie I did hear mention up here at the start of the season that he might be coming along the a96 this summer and that both County and Inverness were interested. I doubt County would be an option now but his wife is from Inverness and I believe has always wanted to come home once he stops playing.1 point

A pal of mine is a big city fan. He said to me not so long ago that you can get a bit bored of success but there's has been some epic moments along the way.1 point

Certainly was In fairness May 1980 was even more special as it was the first time I was to witness us win the league. I even went to the game sober in order to ensure I remembered every moment. By the time the May '84 one came around, dare I say it, it was becoming routine to win things Far more drink involved in the '84 one though1 point

On this day in 1984, Stewart McKimmie scored his first Aberdeen goal, in a 1-0 win, down at Tynecastle, which saw us clinch the league title. It would have been Willie Millers 29th Birthday too, with the great man turning 71 years young today. Happy Birthday Willie.1 point

Called it. I would have taken a point away from home before the game. If Dundee United can beat Killie, then they would be requiring snookers to stay up. Not that I'm advocating cheering on them today.1 point

That's a pretty fair assessment .... Canna say we were any better or worse than ye describe .... it was an excitin' game tho .... which, as a fitba fan, Ah hae tae say is a good thing. We didna get the result Ah hoped for, but didna get the result Ah feared ..... and in the position we're in, a point is progress. Ah thought Aremu had a good game overall .... puts in a shift, good positional sense, and was at the right place at the right time on many occasions to cover the defence, and also provide a link in the middle of the park. Agree his fitness could be improved, but he seems tae hae a level o' alertness which mitigates.1 point

Just back from game. Thought we played reasonably well first half, solid enough at back and Aremu and Geiger were tenacious in middle but still not enough offered going forward. Livi decided to go for the win midway through second half and put us under a bit of pressure. We responded with Topi and Milanovic as the game opened up. I thought Keskinen did well, offered more for 10mins than Olusanya did all game. We continue to struggle with creating chances but definitely harder to beat. Steady progress without much to get excited about.1 point

County 0-1 up against Raith. Assist for Ryan Duncan as he steps over a free kick to let a better player take it.1 point

I love Shinnie, I would give him a contract for life. But yeah, I think for him it makes sense to go to Inverness and see out his career at somewhere that - I presume - he's considered a legend for his cup win. He could still do a job for us, even if it's off the bench, as he can play off the left or the middle. But you can't have your captain as a bit-part player, and essentially emasculating him by making him give up the captaincy but remain on the books isn't how his Dons career should end.1 point

Wonder if McCowan will be surplus to requirements at CP next season. Think I’d probably prefer him over Cameron if we are going to go in for OF/Dundee sloppy seconds.1 point

I think we all did things 30 years ago that we might not be too proud about looking back on now. As a supporter of a club whose fans have sung songs about people dying in stadiums, laughing at players getting injured and even chucking seats at their own, we are in no place to get all high and mighty.1 point

I've not seen 1 second of Duncan in a red shirt that made me think he was anything other than garbage. I'm sure about his Pittodrie future in that he doesn't have one.1 point

Thought I'd give my take on our signings: Suman (s) - who knows? Not really tested and what is it we expect from a backup keeper? Bratveit (s) - didn't hugely impress me, but fine as a back up Gyamfi (s) - good going forward, mixed defensively - may be a question of whether part of a 4 or a 5? Obvious injury issues Frame (s) - success Elvis (s) - not tested Dorrington - fail. Really don't know why. Morrison - not sure, potential to be a success, depending on role and system? McIntyre (s) - fail Aouchiche - success/fail Armstrong (s) - success but a bit of a rolls royce, my sense is we'll get more out of him if we're performing better Geiger - moderate success: I think has helped bring some stability but fitness/injuries have limited his contribution Aremu (s) - flashes of what he might be capable of, but fitness has limited contribution to date Kjartansson (s) - too soon to say. He's young and a "project player". He's stepped in sometimes and shown potential Cameron - success-ish. He's been busy and energetic, but doesn't feel like his impact in terms of goals, etc. has been what I'd expect? Karlsson - early goals garnered points that probably have saved us, but over the piece a fail. A negative influence on the team I suspect Milanovic (s) - even as a "project player" has looked completely lost and unable to impact the game. Unclear if remediable Bilalovic (s) - as a "project player" has shown flashes of potential, but certainly not a success yet. Would like to see him given a Shady Mo role Olusanya - despite his limitations, has been a successful signing Yengi (s) - redefines the meaning of fail. Extraordinarily bad signing. Lazetic (s) - "project player" so early to judge, but hasn't shown any signs of progression, potentially the reverse, so not looking good Nisbet (s) - success1 point

Amen to that. Although I seem to have weeded out most of my relationships with Jambos but have lots of Hibee pals. Natural selection I suspect.1 point

I am still holding out for the orange skinned man child turning the world to ash before any of three win the league.1 point
