  2. Fair enough, but we just can’t afford to develop Milne in our first 11 next season though. He’s far too much of a liability just now. As I said, if we are going to persist with him get him out on loan to play alongside that big physical experienced CH he can learn off and see how he goes. I’d imagine we’ll likely go back and hopefully have another look at Stephen Welsh from Celtic in the summer. Another Scottish lad who’s had a good season at Motherwell and would improve our defence…

  3. Higgins O'Sullivan was up there with the greatest matches ever too. I thought Murphy was playing so well he would overpower Yu but it's not turned out like that. Could be a late one!

  5. Absolutely agree re balance - that’s been chronically overlooked this last couple of years with all the project and reclamation players etc and the complete absence of physicality in the squad - though I think labelling Boyle & Gogic borderline bottom 6 players is very harsh. Hearts have got it right this year. Strong spine (largely Scottish), physical with a good mentality and have signed well from other Scottish clubs & supplemented that with good foreigners suited to this league. I may never say this again , but we could certainly learn from their recent recruiting. We’ll need some experienced pros to supplement the (hopeful) cherry picking of some of the top talent from other Scottish clubs as well as good physically robust foreigners. Boyle & Gogic do that for me. I genuinely can’t understand how anyone can have watched Gogic for these last few years and not think he’d do a good job for us for a year or two Big job this summer, but Hearts and Motherwell have shown good recruitment can turn things around very quickly so fingers crossed we finally get it right on that score cause its about bloody time…

  6. Russell was similar. Remember him coming through as young FB with his floppy hair and thinking this guys way to lightweight.

  7. Fair assessments mostly being made but I agree with Don Julio that Bilalovic and Kjartansson are young players and it would be unfair to write them off yet. Maybe even Lazetic falls into that category, I feel like he could be the type of player Robinson could work with as he has the attributes physically. I wouldn’t write off any one completely, it’s been such a strange season.

  9. Thought I'd give my take on our signings: Suman (s) - who knows? Not really tested and what is it we expect from a backup keeper? Bratveit (s) - didn't hugely impress me, but fine as a back up Gyamfi (s) - good going forward, mixed defensively - may be a question of whether part of a 4 or a 5? Obvious injury issues Frame (s) - success Elvis (s) - not tested Dorrington - fail. Really don't know why. Morrison - not sure, potential to be a success, depending on role and system? McIntyre (s) - fail Aouchiche - success/fail Armstrong (s) - success but a bit of a rolls royce, my sense is we'll get more out of him if we're performing better Geiger - moderate success: I think has helped bring some stability but fitness/injuries have limited his contribution Aremu (s) - flashes of what he might be capable of, but fitness has limited contribution to date Kjartansson (s) - too soon to say. He's young and a "project player". He's stepped in sometimes and shown potential Cameron - success-ish. He's been busy and energetic, but doesn't feel like his impact in terms of goals, etc. has been what I'd expect? Karlsson - early goals garnered points that probably have saved us, but over the piece a fail. A negative influence on the team I suspect Milanovic (s) - even as a "project player" has looked completely lost and unable to impact the game. Unclear if remediable Bilalovic (s) - as a "project player" has shown flashes of potential, but certainly not a success yet. Would like to see him given a Shady Mo role Olusanya - despite his limitations, has been a successful signing Yengi (s) - redefines the meaning of fail. Extraordinarily bad signing. Lazetic (s) - "project player" so early to judge, but hasn't shown any signs of progression, potentially the reverse, so not looking good Nisbet (s) - success

  10. At least put a real picture of him up, rather than some AI generated nonsense.
