Local elections used to be what they said on the tin, but now they seem to be about the national picture. Load of bollocks really. Long gone are the days when a good independent candidate could get in because they knew how to get a library re-opened or sort out the pot holes in your area. As for Reform, they have a horrific record running some councils in England but still the happy clappers are voting for them. Right wing media is hugely complicit in this.

I can say for certain, I have never felt so apathetic about voting ..... yet, acknowledging the duty to 'voice' ..... then i looked at the 'choices' I was presented with .... I ended up holding my nose whilst forming one cross on one paper, and going 'what the hell' on my cross on the other. Disenfranchised or what?
