Lot's of people getting bent out of shape over the Miovski story. He went to Girona and wasn't getting a game so wanted a move. Reality is that nobody else was willing to pay for him and his wage demands apart from the Huns. They're probably paying in installments anyway and will inevitably go bust before they have made the final payment. Ok so he can't play against them if he's on loan but as much as it pains me, we're not competing with that lot at the moment anyway. We're struggling to get into the top half so if signing Bojan gets us out of that hole till we can afford better then so be it. I'm sure if we did take him and he started scoring goals he'd quickly be forgiven. Chances are he could sign for Hearts or Hibs on loan and do very well and we'd all look a bit stupid for foaming at the mouth about it. He used them to get out of Spain and play football. We can use him to get better and it could be win win4 points

Is there a drop off on quality though?Or is it people just being snobbish, because the three stripes/ Adidas logo aren't on it for the Liam Gallagher wannabes amongst our support. Both manufacturers get these kits made in far eastern swearshops for pennies and then sold for stupid prices. I doubt there will be much difference in the selling price, but hopefully I am wrong. I used to buy tops for both my loons, but I can't justify the price anymore. I'm sure the club will be able to milk more from the fanbase, with this new deal, which is what it is all about. The new kits every season, is the shitty side of modern fitba.4 points

Maybe it's an Aberdeen thing, but for me, living in Glasgow, I don't really prefer (or hate) one more than the other. I also think, slightly changing the argument a little, Miovski's move to Rangers is nowhere near the same as Barron, Wright or Jack going to them, or the nonsense that was Ricky Foster.3 points

It’s not just the football though. If you know a turbo Hun, you’ll also know his views on royalty, immigration, taxation, welfare, Donald Trump, climate change, genocide in Gaza, the death penalty, Brexit… There is a significant amount of people living in this country who need it to fail and who actively seek out misery. Drinking in the same flat roofed British legion club every weekend, going to Ibrox, sectarian marching & holidaying in Benidorm is their life Celtic fans have their problems too obviously but Huns are significantly worse3 points

No loans from any other Scottish Premier league club - especially the cheeks. Buying players fine. I can live with a loan with option to buy, but just a straight loan, absolutely not. Its pathetic, embarrassing, demeaning, makes us look utterly tinpot and only helps the other team at the end of the day. I can’t actually believe any Dons fan can find this acceptable, no matter how shite we are on the field currently or at any other time…3 points

Gotta love a bit of healthy revisionism . I think we can all agree he’s a rat bastard but to suggest he wasn’t that great anyway when at Pittodrie is some impressive psychological management.2 points

100% this and more. I have no liking for Celtic and they have inflicted much pain on us on the pitch in recent decades. Their fanbase are total dicks, their holier than thou/victim mentality is hugely irritating and their sense of entitlement has grown to levels that are hard to listen to but they don’t even scratch the surface of the rancid bile and putrid behaviour of those c**ts. Maybe it’s because I’m married to an Irish Catholic but I find Hibs and Celtic fans just that little bit more bearable as individual humans in a way that Huns and Jambos just don’t seem to be able to do. I’d take Miovski back if we buy, not on loan. Everything else has been covered.2 points

This is definitely something I agree with unless it is with an option to buy.2 points

Loans between clubs in the same league should be banned altogether. I tend to agree about Miovski. He’s never really scored with any consistency at any club other than us.2 points

Same here, just don't want the rat back. We are better than that. As for our next goal scoring "hero" there is a fair chance that he is already in the building in the shape of Kevin Nesbit. We just need to give him proper service and he will deliver. He has already shown that on the the odd occasion he has had proper service he is more than capable of hitting the back of the net. At the moment I am optimistic for next season, Robinson has a lot of work to do in the close season yet, but the early signs are good signs. Just please don't go and fk that up by brining back the rat.2 points

Actually there is mate, whether it's the 70's the 80's, the 90's, the 2000's, the 2010's or 2020's They are the fkn huns and that is all the reason we need2 points

Alright folks, it is time for a massive under-the-hood upgrade here at DonsTalk. We'e been running the current version of our forum software for a few years now, and while it has served our Aberdeen FC match threads, transfer tracking, and daily football debates well, the digital world moves fast. With the current software reaching the end of its lifecycle at the end of this year, we are moving forward to future-proof the forum. Starting week commencing 6 July 2026, DonsTalk will be undergoing a major software upgrade. Because we proudly run a self-hosted setup, this isn't a standard "click update and hope" situation. It is a ground-up platform rebuild. Here is exactly what you need to know about the timeline, the upcoming features, and what to expect during the transition. The Upgrade Tmeline Full Database Backup and Lock - Monday 6 July 2026 - We will pull a complete final backup of all forum data. DonsTalk will be placed into a read-only maintenance mode so no data is lost. This means you will not be able to post to the forum but you will still be able to read. Server Adjustments - Tuesday 7 July 2026 - Our server will be updated to meet the new modern technical infrastructure requirements - we did part of this in March, ensuring optimisation and security compatibility. This means you will not be able to post to the forum but you will still be able to read. Migration and Code Deployment - Wednesday 8 July 2026 - The new sofrware will be uploaded. We will begin running the upgrade and convert the database structure over to the new setup. The forum will go into maintenance mode and will not be available to view. Theme Rebuild and Stability Testing - Thursday 9 July 2026 - Because the new forum rewrites how our layouts work, the look and feel of the forum will change. We will spend this time stabilising the upgrade, ensuring a clean, dark-mode mobile friendly user interface, and checking forum functionality. The forum will still be in maintenance mode and will not be available to view. DonsTalk Goes Live - Friday 10 July 2026 - The switch will be flipped, and the brand new DonsTalk will be fully open for posting. We're very much aware that this is happening in the middle of the World Cup last 16 and quarter finals, if each stage of the upgrade is successful, we'll speed things up to bring the forum back quicker to minimise downtime. What's Changing? (And What You'll Love!) This isn't just a security update; it fundamentally improves how you use the forum every day. Brand new text editor (TipTap): The old clunky editor is gone. The new froum introduces a sleek, real-time rich text editor. This means pasting images, dragging and dropping quotes, embedding media, and formatting your match-day tactical breakdowns will be smoother than ever. Significantly Faster Page Loads: The entire platform has been stripped of legacy code bloat. Database queries are highly optimised, meaning the forum will load notably faster on mobile devices, even when threads scale to hundreds of pages during a tense transfer deadline day. True Progressive Web App (PWA) Capabilities: For those who browse DonsTalk on their phones, the new version behaves much more like a native app. You can expect better mobile responsiveness, cleaner dropdown menus, and vastly improved notification handling. Automatic Archiving and Index Cleanups: Behind the scenes, years of old historical threads will be managed better by the system so they don't drag down the site's overall search performance. A quick heads-up on launch week Because the new software handles themes and layouts entirely differently than the current forum, the forum will look a bit different when we first open the doors on July 10. We will continue to do some layout tweaks after launch and we'll be adding some new features over the coming months. We appreciate your patience while we get the digital pitch sorted out. Get ready for a faster, cleaner, and much more modern home for DonsTalk2 points

We all know of your dislike for him when he was at the club but to say that he never scored a header for us is not true1 point

Miovski got 13 goals in all competitions at the Huns so not sure you can say that is getting found out. He did struggle at Girona but part of that was injury and part Girona turning to shit in general. They got relegated this season.1 point

I'm neither bent out of shape or foaming at the mouth, just don't want him back at the club. Even Ash Taylor got it. Like I said in previous posts, we should be better than that as a club. Look to the future and find our next goal scoring hero, instead of pandering for the return of a mercenary, hun prick.1 point

Seems to be that we're going to be more of a priority with Macron and even seen as a bit of a coup for them. If the designs are good, the quality decent, and the strips are always in stock - then that's all we want really.1 point

How is Miovski a rat bastard and Neale Cooper (rightly) wasn't? Because Cooper was a legend? Doesn't that make going to the Huns worse?1 point

Id like to see Topi get a shot at playing in a different team that potentially suited his skills. As has been said he was driven into the ground that first season and then asked to play in various unfamiliar roles in a team lacking in any confidence. He really hasn’t had a chance. There have been games where he showed some real ability so Im not fully convinced he should be junked just yet. There is a danger that in scrapping the whole lot of them, we disrupt the squad significantly, replacing good footballers with mid-table Prem journeymen just because we crave stability. Someone, somewhere on the pitch is gonna need to be a baller.1 point

I’m not really fussed either way. He does have some good qualities but the boy is completely bereft of a footballing brain1 point
