A fair point. I guess Olusanya is proven chaos, whereas those two are unproven chaos! Olusanya has the physique (height, basically) that Keskinen lacks against big centre halves, and Bilalovic seems to be quite weak and lacks the diligence to even do the forward role. Bilalovic looks like the type that has the potential to be good, but will probably never fulfil it. Unless he has an amazing preseason, I'd like to see him go somewhere in Scotland on loan for six months to sharpen him up and get him putting the work in. What's most frustrating about the Olusanya situation is that he, and none of the other options, are actually as good as Esther Sokler. With a bit of work, he could have been a great asset when playing two up front.

Lot's of people getting bent out of shape over the Miovski story. He went to Girona and wasn't getting a game so wanted a move. Reality is that nobody else was willing to pay for him and his wage demands apart from the Huns. They're probably paying in installments anyway and will inevitably go bust before they have made the final payment. Ok so he can't play against them if he's on loan but as much as it pains me, we're not competing with that lot at the moment anyway. We're struggling to get into the top half so if signing Bojan gets us out of that hole till we can afford better then so be it. Id like to see Topi get a shot at playing in a different team that potentially suited his skills. As has been said he was driven into the ground that first season and then asked to play in various unfamiliar roles in a team lacking in any confidence. He really hasn’t had a chance. There have been games where he showed some real ability so Im not fully convinced he should be junked just yet. There is a danger that in scrapping the whole lot of them, we disrupt the squad significantly, replacing good footballers with mid-table Prem journeymen just because we crave stability. Someone, somewhere on the pitch is gonna need to be a baller.

We should move heaven and earth to get back into the EU. We will go back with a significantly poorer deal than we had but that’s the price paid for stupidity. The only realistic way we get out of this Reform spiral and the misery of where the UK is headed is by driving economic growth and bringing some much needed wealth back into both the public purse and into the pockets of those at the poorer end of society. Kevin Nisbet has scored in every game he's ever played at Dens Park. This includes when he played for Dunfermline. He never played there for Hibs (though did score v Dundee at Easter Road). Whether he scores or not is the real story in Scottish football this week.

There was a valid question asked after Thelin was bagged and Leven got nothing out of this shower for weeks as to whether we’d have been better just sticking with the Swede. Fair question then, not now. Robinson’s got way more out of this lot than Thelin or Leven ever did. He’s got them setup much better, they seem to know what they are doing, and the giving away of stupid set piece goals has slowed considerably - I must say Morrison is growing on me, had a good game yesterday. We’ll never know for sure, but I think we’d have gone down with Leven remaining in place. He got absolutely no response from them at all. I think its very likely we’d have gone down with Thelin still in place as he was far too stubborn, his style of play was completely wrong for this league, his defence was an absolute joke, and frankly I don’t think the players knew what they were supposed to be doing most of the time. Robinson’s come in and achieved his one clear target for this year - and lets be honest, after that game in Paisley that looked pretty unlikely too. Can’t ask any more than that. He’s growing on me too, be interesting to see where he can take us from here…

Signing Olusanya is only a good idea if someone else in the league is signing Rubi. He has not managed goals in the MLS, League 1 in England and our league this season. Signing him is no different to signing Lazetic and Yengi last season. I was not in favour of Robinson’s appointment and nothing I am seeing is changing that view so far. I really hope summer will prove me wrong and we won’t just try to recreate his St Mirren team in style and possibly personnel however, I suspect I will be deeply regretting my decision to renew my season ticket.

Being a diligent poster, I have redirected this thread to pay tribute to the man himself. It's always good to see local loons lifting cups for the Dons as captain, so I wish him all the best in whatever he does next.

It would be quite challenging for me to walk about with that in my head all day, so here’s some reasons to be cheerful. Solar & wind power are green but now they’re also cheap. There’s a strong economic argument to switch to them which as we all know, trumps the green argument every day. Win win. The blades and gearboxes on these things have a shelf life of 30 years. Who knows what developments happen within that timescale? Energy storage is diversifying quickly and for northern hemisphere countries, thermal storage in particular is looking peachy. There’s huge advancements in bio plastics, recycling waste (including no petroleum based food for all those cattle nobody needs to eat). Nuclear power already solves a lot of carbon problems and is getting smaller/more efficient The grid (which is my line of work) is getting upgraded across the globe making everything more efficient. I can think of some teuchters and English retirees are going to be in for one hell of a shock up north soon Most of all though, most people are all for it. Transitioning away from fossil fuels is something everyone can get on board with. The will is there already. Apart from all this ‘drill baby drill’ baby balled sad sacks of course Smile, it might not happen

He does cause problems and offers a physicality we’ve been badly missing, but surely we can sign a striker who offers that and can also play football. While I give no credit to that bin fire of a squad after the shit show of this season, full credit to Robinson for getting enough out of them to get us safe. Fucked over the buds by coming here when he did which helped us out & got some structure in place at last to at least make that lot difficult to beat. Now, bin at least 80% of that squad, do recruitment this summer like the diets & well did last summer & lets never talk of this season again…
