tlg1903
It's pretty depressing Emma Burrows was put in a position where felt the need to post this I have to say. Sounds like they have been through the ringer as a family, my best pals wife had 2 miscarriages in short order and I've seen what it does to relationships close up. If you read this Alan and Emma all the best to you. 1 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10757-the-all-new-unworthy-of-its-own-thread-afc-general-stuff-thread/page/4/#findComment-275865

OrlandoDon
What a shit show today. But really it’s close to a shit show two years. From the run jimmy went on to start, the shit run from there, the inconsistent form and the let down of finishing fifth, then the Scottish cup win. This seasons shit start, then a decent run, then shit again, two wins and we think we’re over the hump, now the mess that was today. what next? Surely a managerial announcement has to come very soon. After today the club surely has to say something to steady the ship?? Having suffered traumatic impact on the pitch, Mats was transferred to Crosshouse Hospital for further diagnostics. He has now been discharged and will continue his medical management under the supervision of the club medical staff. Unfortunately, given the nature of the injury it does mean Mats will be unavailable for the short to medium term and an accurate estimate of his return to play will become clear in the coming weeks. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the medical staff at Crosshouse Hospital for their care of Mats and to the staff at Kilmarnock FC who assisted in the immediate aftermath of the injury. We wish Mats a speedy recovery! Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10757-the-all-new-unworthy-of-its-own-thread-afc-general-stuff-thread/page/4/#findComment-277696

That said, didn’t he refuse to sign a contract extension and got sold for something like £500k? Or am I misremembering that? Fyvie and Grimmer left around the same period. Could have been that we were really shyte at the time. Even worse than now. He ended up being a cup winner in England and Scotland. Better players than Fyvie end their careers with no medals. We must have some amount of youth coaches though. 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10757-the-all-new-unworthy-of-its-own-thread-afc-general-stuff-thread/page/4/#findComment-278187
RicoS321
Fyvie was never the same after his injury at Alloa. He played a decent number of games for us, and I don't think anyone was disappointed with him when he left, especially as he got a very surprising punt at it down South with a decent Wigan side. They obviously had only watched the clips when he first came through and not the stuff in between under Brown. He seemed to play well any time I saw him for Cove. He talks well when on Red TV, and obviously has a lot of love for the club. Hope he has a good retirement. 3 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10757-the-all-new-unworthy-of-its-own-thread-afc-general-stuff-thread/page/4/#findComment-278193
