I don’t actually recall us trying to replace either of them properly for years. Certainly for goalie it was usually stop gaps and injury cover (and yes they were horrible in the main). Instead we took the easy option of new contracts and stuck with the status quo as making up the numbers was good enough for Milne.

But hey, as the late queen once said, recollections may differ.

I agree with your last paragraph which also describes Gogic perfectly, a guy who’s been a far better performer in this league than Olusanya will ever be.

More Gogic types to steady the ship please, and way less Olusanya’s…

Why don't you marry Gogic....

I wouldn’t chase him out the door, but he’s been another one who’s been a bit of a disappointment overall.

Not the worst signing by any stretch, but not a resounding success either.

He wouldn’t be on my list of “must keeps”, though he’s nowhere near the top of my list of “must go’s” either.

His big weakness is his kicking, which lets be honest, is horrendous.

My mates a saints fan and one thing he said they’ve always had under Robinson is really good keepers.

So maybe lets see what he can come up with.

Wonder if Gogic can play in goals… 😉

I think Mitov is decent and has benefitted by us having stopped the fannying about at the back.

I'd stick with him, unless he is looking to move, as always get the fear with our keeper signing record and our recruitment team doesn't inspire me with confidence.

Folk saying we would get £2 million for him, not a chance we get anything like that.

Don’t disagree - but if someone offered us £2million I’d drive the boy there myself…

I'd keep Mitov, who I still think is an excellent goalkeeper, but depending on Suman's progress from his injury it may be worth giving him a chance. Not really convinced by the other fella we signed in January.

Shinnie - I said last week I think that it's probably best for him to leave, more for his sake. However, I certainly won't be sad to see him stay, and his versatility off the bench at LWB and midfield, plus his obvious influence in the dressing room, are all good things. The regular nonsense about "his legs are gone" get disproved just as often, and I've no doubt if managed correctly he can still play at a high level next season.

Robinson also didn't rule out in his press conference getting Lyall Cameron on a permanent deal, although he didn't sound too confident about it.

It’s hard to judge a keeper when your defense is so poor, particularly dealing with crosses, and the keeper makes more poor decisions than normal since he’s forced into doing things he’d not normally do. I’d also say our defense this year has been the worst in quite a long time.

Mitov isn’t as good as Lewis, but better than clangers, so could be better could be worse. Not fussed if he stays or goes. Don’t think the new boy was any better or worse, so if we sell mitov we’re at least not stuck with nothing, although I’d certainly expect us to sign a new #1.

I've been told that Suman may be gone in the summer.

They don't believe he is of the required standard.

I've never saw the lad play, so couldn't say how good he is.

Saw him at Cove a couple of times and he looked decent. Both United and Motherwell were supposedly after him in the January so was surprised he came to us last summer when he was clearly coming as a back up.

Would like to see us go for Tod at dunfermline and Stewart at falkirk, maybe even Stanway. I can’t see us needing a fortune for them and considering the outlay on Ambrose keskinen bilalovic Kjarten etc, I’d like to think we could pick up more value at home. Graham and Watson would be nice but that ship has probably sailed, but every transfer is a gamble, would like us to take a more familiar gambles than a complete unknown, and before they potentially move to something better cos we sat on our hands.

I also know I’ll be unpopular, but I also think looking for the next mcginn or mccrorie should be considered. I dont think Curtis is an option, but I do feel those two over look the unglamorous home grown for a bigger signing.

mikey Johnson could have been the new mcginn but we missed out there!

Stewart signed a new deal in January, I don't think he would be out of reach but it's unlikely to be a 'bargain' fee unless he has a release clause

If you’re looking for a winger from Ibrox then the mccausland one might be available.

Players from the old firm is not always popular, loan or buy.

If we buy them, there's rarely any issue at all. Nobody has complained about Frame because he came from the Tims, nobody would have complained had we signed Christie or Scales. Very few complained about McRorie because we had an option to buy. Nobody batted an eyelid when we signed McGinn either.

If we signed Cameron from the Huns, the only issue would be that many would think he's not good enough. I don't know who else they've got that's available to be honest, so can't think of an example!
