Probably not a realistic signing - rumours are quite a few clubs are already circling - but Robbie Ure is banging the goals in for Sirius in Sweden.

Seven goals in 10 games this season. Eleven in his debut season last year. Only 22, Scottish, was released a few years ago by Rangers.

Suspect he is already out of our price range as Sirius seem to have paid a large fee to sign him from Belgium.

Sounds correct Jute.

The ship has sailed

"According to transfer insider Ben Jacobs, the clinical frontman is expected to part ways with the Swedish outfit over the coming weeks.

It is understood that clubs from England, France, and Portugal have already lodged enquiries with Sirius for their star man."

We can cross David Watson off the list. Has signed for Bolton.

No doubt there will be rumours of him coming on loan in 6/12months time after he fails to get sufficient game time there. If he was any good he would have been playing regularly for Killie. How many games did he start this season, he was always asub as far as i can remember

Doesn’t have the pace I thought he had

From the article: The 23-year-old - one of the fastest players in Scotland...

I like Keskinen. We have not used him properly and haven't appeared to make any real effort to develop him into a position or consistent place in the team. The farce against AEK Athens summed up how he was being managed.

But he works his arse off. He may not be Usian Bolt but DOES have pace, and does go past players on the touch line. He's very much a Robinson-type player too so unless there's some behind-the-scenes issue with him I'd expect Robinson would want him to stay.

I don't think we should be emptying the entire starting XI. There's a few players with potential and Keskinen is definitely one of them.

I agree with this. We need some known quantities in the squad and Keskinen while not having proved to be a world beater is still one of our better players. It’s really difficult to say how far he can go with the way things have panned out over the last couple of seasons but I would like to see how he does under Robinson.

I also would be happy with Topi staying, but only if we were to allow him the freedom to be an out and out winger instead of trying to make him a wing back.

If he does go, I can't see us turning a profit on him just now and have a feeling we might live to regret it.

It might well be however that he is unhappy with us and has his agent actively touting him for a move 🤔

I’m not really fussed either way. He does have some good qualities but the boy is completely bereft of a footballing brain

Yep. It nullifies any pace advantage he might have. I'm not convinced that he's one of the fastest players in the league either. If he is, then it's rarely seen.

That said, Martin Boyle took a long time to work out how best to use his legs as a winger and he did alright.

Simple, repeatable, instructions is what Topi needs. I don't think he'll get that here.

Milne gone, now I read Keskinen could be away, the day gets better and better.

What I will say for him is in general he never hides, unlike a lot of them, but the boy has absolutely no football brain. Absolutely clueless what to do on the ball. Looks like a puppy chasing a crisp packet in the wind.

If we could, I’d punt almost every single one of last season’s failures, and Keskinen, if we can get a decent fee back can definitely go.

The diets paid less for Braga and Kyzaridis together than we paid for this guy alone. That says it all really, and also shows there is far better out there if we can just start recruiting properly…

Kyzaridis has never really impressed me and would not pick him over Topi.

We have only ever seen wee flashes from Topi and I wouldn't be surprised if he is wanting a move.

I would. Not as good as Braga granted, and he’s gone off the boil recently, but for most of this season he’s been far more effective in that inverted winger role cutting inside, getting a shot away and scoring a good few goals.

Exactly what Keskinen was supposed to do for us but never really did…

Does he have pace?? Hayes and Morris did. I don’t see topi outrunning many fullbacks. He cuts inside because he can’t beat the defender. Mcginn didn’t have legit pace either, maybe there’s hope for topi, but I just don’t think he’s smart either, mcginn was a clever player. Morris was awful his first season here and improved, while topi has been here two, maybe Robinson gets more out of him, but if good money was offered I’d cut him loose.

Thought your first sentence was referring to Jack.

Keskinen is quick. Not standing start quick like Shady Mo, but quick when up and running. That first red card against the diets in the semi was down to his pace.

Yes, he can be, although I think it helped that the defender was slow. He's probably on par with McGinn. Not quick enough to get away from a fullback and generally gets caught by a centre half in a thirty yard sprint, but occasionally he'll roast someone if circumstances dictate. No different to guys like Kennedy or the various other middle of the road wingers we've had over the years. Miovski made a point (or seemed to) of working on his sprinting between his first and second seasons, and it was noticeable that he could maintain a forty yard sprint regularly in matches. Hayes was obviously good at that too. Boyle for Hibs. There's definitely an avenue that guys at Keskinen's current level can explore.
