swaddon
The Red Revival continues apace at the Cathedral of Football on Saturday at 3 pm when Kilmarnock make the long trip up the road. I fancy a 2-1 home win. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/
blinlemon
The Killie fixture should be my first attendance since we played Celtic in midweek the business end of two months ago. “Watching” games on the BBC’s web update feature is shite. I even considered attending a Pollock Juniors cup-tie just round the corner from my temporary abode, but stayed too long at QEUH to catch even the last 15 minutes, and it was pishing doon. I’m confident of a win at the weekend. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282654
Blow.Up.Sheep
The Dons go into this one looking to build on and extend their winning run of one in a row and continue to boost their confidence as the try to claw themselves away from that dreaded relegation playoff spot. SR should have no problem in making sure our lot are well up for the challenge of one of our closest relegation rivals. This is probably our biggest game of the season, and should be treated as our Cup Final. Beat Killie and we go 8 points clear of them with only 4 games to go. I have no idea why but for some strange reason I am quietly confident that we will see them off quite easily. 3-0 The Dandies (Nisbet with all three) Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282655
TheDonbytheDee
Swaddon and BUS both saying a win for us. I now have the fear. The two hun cunts in charge at Killie will have them well up for this one. Ajja
I’m a touch concerned about the sense out there that a win against 10 Hibs players who looked like they couldn’t be arsed from the get go means we will sweep Killie aside. The post-Thelin (and probably pre and during) Aberdeen would have us all in expectant mode only to come out in their slippers and lose 0-1. Clinging to the idea that Robinson has them fired up and that the dart board and coffee machine are doing some heavy lifting on spirit. We really need to show up here as Killie are going to. 2-1, Olusanya to finally get up and running with an ugly, cumbersome finish. Panda
I think Killie will avoid relegation. I think Neil McCann is actually very tactically astute and he failed at Dundee because the players didn't take to him, but Billy Dodds is good foil for him at Killie. I'd just like us to go the rest of the season unbeaten at home at least, and if we do that I think we'll be safe. Ajja
I actually think it’s StM who will escape play off spot. They look more able to win games. Killie can’t play away and are hot and cold so I suspect they’ll end up 11th but probably avoid drop by winning play off. You are spot on DD and I have no idea where my confidence came from at all, but that was 24 hours ago and it has slowly dwindled away over that time. I had even broken my own basic simple golden rule as a dons fan............ Lower My Expectations which I have stuck to diligently over the years. So for the visit of Killie BUS (of old) has returned and I am going to say they will sneak it 1-0 with Bruce Anderson coming off the bench to grab the only goal of the game in the 88th minute. Hoping for the best 3-0 the Dandies with my mate Kev grabbing all three. Being prepared for the worst 0-1 Killie (Anderson) Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282679

manc_don
So chip-icide aside, how’s everyone feeling about this one? Is the crowd looking decent or is that why the club were saying u-12s go free? Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282772

I'm more optimistic when we supposedly have no hope, like last years cup final. Killies last away win in the league being last September, then along come Aberdeen. We don't usually need a script for the ending, we know it by heart. I'm hoping I feel more confident walking to Pittodrie on Saturday. Killie are much improved under McCann but 2 weeks more on the training ground will hopefully have improved team cohesion and the team will have a spring in their step after hibs. An early goal and I think we could get a really solid win here. 3-0 dons Nisbet, Armstrong and Lazetic 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282784
Ajja
I’ve got horrible post Livi vibes. Last time we had a good solid home victory was against Livi and we played Killie next game. There was optimism in the air and we felt like a huge weight had finally been lifted. Corner turned, top 6 awaits. Pumped 3-0 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282787
manc_don
Have been surprised by some of the scorelines in the thread. I’d be happy enough with a 1-0 win as they appear a relatively organised outfit (yes I know about their away form). Just don’t think the shackles have been unleashed and we’re prime 2014 Dandies again. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282792

swaddon
For balance, I think (hope) that the squad have been bonding over the last two weeks and now play better together, and that they now have the stomach for the fight. 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282798
GASC1980
Huge game this. I said that we shouldn't get carried away beating Hibs but a couple of weeks more working hard together should help. IF we can win this then I'll be far more confident of avoiding the dreaded plyoff spot. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282805

Blow.Up.Sheep
During the Presser ahead of tomorrow's Killie game, Robinson did admit that he travelled to the Dunfermline v St Johnstone game midweek on a "scouting" mission to watch a potential target play. But the player did not actually feature in the game, Who could that player have been Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282815

Think Robinson might have went there to have a closer look at Jeremiah Chilokoa - Mullen. Nae a scooby if he is any use but he was a noticable absentee from the Pars line-up and a regular starter for Scotland U21's 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/10837-aberdeen-v-kilmarnock/#findComment-282816
