I'm assuming that means that they're open to offers and the player is also onboard with it at least.

I've a feeling that it might be our only signing. Maybe Sokler will stay put if we can't get anyone else in.

I believe that he was quoted as saying he would like to come back

Hear folk talking of him coming back on loan but why would Millwall do that given he is in last year of contract.

Surely they will want to get some of their outlay back on him

With Shady Mo away and Boyd following suit we are potentially looking like being weaker unless replacements are coming in

If this proves to be the case then it is fucking criminal after Cormack's comments post Scottish Cup victory.

I'm not panicking about the striker TBH. I actually think yengi had shown signs of improvement and his hold up was actually decent on Sunday.

Can't blame the guy for topi being incapable of delivering a ball.

I also thought lazetic had a decent touch or two.

Definitely need to sort the midfield. I thought kjartanson would've got some time by now. I think if you put him with palaversa they're a pretty formidable physical pairing and if you're good enough you're old enough.

But if we're not confident in him he should go on loan and get some presence in.

On that note do we need Nilsen and shinnie warming the bench if we boost the midfield?

Redtops claiming Nisbet deal is done - permanent transfer, 6 figure sum, 3 years.

As are the BBC which makes it official.

Thoughts?  I, for one, am happy to see him back provided we get 2025 Nisbet.

Delighted. He made our front line better last season, scored goals, won a trophy, and is the older head our young front 3/4 need.

Also happy.  Ability aside there are loads of advantages in bringing him back.  He knows how we play, knows the league, good for euro registration (we can now register 23 players assuming Ryan Duncan is included) and he seems to have fallen in love with the club a wee bit too.

Apparantly there are rumours on social media we are looking at former hearts winger Josh Ginnely but no clue to how true that is.  He's had no game time at swansea since he waent there on a free 2 seasons ago but his stats for his last season at hearts were really good.  13 goals and 7 assists in 41 appearances.  He's 28 too so a decent age, could be a handy left field bit of business if it happens

Never rated him, despite him doing well against us. They were probably in the seaside leagues in his last season (difficult to keep track of them). Always seemed a bit of a fanny. Anyway, if he comes free with a central midfielder, then welcome aboard.

Nah they were in the top flight and in Europe too.  That was the first year of guaranteed group stage football for a 3rd scottish side.

That is nuts!  Even if millwall fans don't rate him they have to be fizzing at that given what they paid for him 2 seasons ago.  Makes you wonder just how low ball the first offer was if that was the third.  You can just imagine Colgate on the phone to the Millwall chairman "will you take 100 quid and some 2 day old rowies for him?"

A point currently beIng debated on the ol' what's app.

If Nilsen leaves, that would leave only Kjartansson as the defensive break your legs midfielder (Shinnie isn't a sitting midfielder, Clarkson and Palaversa can sit deep but wouldn't necessarily maim you).

Does this mean that, when Gyamfi is fit, we may move towards a three at the back? A wee 3-4-3?

Even if so I would be surprised if we started with that a lot 2bh purely on the grounds that Aouchiche is likely to be one of our bigger wages and he wouldn't fit into that very well/at all.  That's not to say it couldn't become a plan B (which every team should have imo) and could be very handy to have in the locker for harder away games.

Not sure we’re any weaker with Boyd going as he barely got a game anyway.

“Amorim style” or jimmy’s cup final version? Not sure we’ve anything like good enough midfielders for the former and I hope we’re more ambitious than the latter, as plan A anyway.

More just a continuation of Jimmy's normal style, but with an extra central defender instead of a Nilsen, and maybe Aouchiche/Clarkson partnering Palaversa/Polvara.

I guess it depends on whether this promised box-to-box midfielder signs.
