BobbyBiscuit
Just been shown by a colleague today's Sun which has Willie Miller picking his greatest Dons side. No real surprises, he went for: Leighton Kennedy Miller McLeish McMaster Strachan Bett Simpson Weir McGhee Harper I'm sure in his video, he had McKimmie at left back, not McMaster. BobbyBiscuit
Was McKimmie nae a team mate and Scotland international at the time? Might have swung it his way. Possibly. The two of them don't get on though, by all accounts. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1752-willie-millers-greatest-dons-xi/#findComment-39888

They must of at some point with him making McKimmie his captain etc. Maybe thats what it's down to. Why don't they get along? Why don't they get along? Don't know, McKimmie was the obvious candidate for it after McLeish and Bett left. Who else could it have gone to? Grant? Probably too quiet. They were the longest serving players. Had to be McKimmie. Just a clash of personalities I'm led to believe. I guess your right, possibly Irvine but McKimmie was definitely the one who got everyone going. It's well known he's a cock anyway. Snapper
I had a chat with McKimmie a few years back and we got onto the subject of Willie Miller's after dinner speaking, which I enjoyed at one of the many gothenburg nights. He said he was surprised that Willie actually did that sort of thing 'cos when they were team mates he always found Miller a bit dour and he didn't really speak to the rest of the players too much only the older ones that he'd known for years. Certainly wasn't life and soul of the dressing room and not what you'd call a funny guy. So no, they weren't big pals. I would have Black in ahead of Harper, just because Harper is a cretin! Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1752-willie-millers-greatest-dons-xi/#findComment-40066

I remember I once called George Galloway a cretin. I wonder if Funster will jump on this post like he did mine. TENEMENTFUNSTER
George Galloway is a cretin. A parliamentary cretin, yes. Not quite what that fanny meant. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1752-willie-millers-greatest-dons-xi/#findComment-40116
