Not going well for Stenny

Two down at half time in first leg

Elgin look like they're struggling having conceded four at home against Annan to trail 2-4.

Surprised by the Elgin score as they have been decent the couple of times I have seen them.

City better team tonight agains East Fife and probably should be more ahead than the 1-0 they are.East Fife are a hard watch. Route one for most of game. To close to call with the second leg to come in Methill.

Can’t remember if I have said before but Meadowbank is an awful place to watch football. Running track means you are miles from action and  flat standing doesn’t give you any hight to improve the view. Stand is only 3 rows so not much better.

Jesus, that looks horrific.

I assume that spectators are all in the stand running the length of the pitch

With my old eyes, I'd need binoculars to watch from behind the goals

Back in the early 2000s, me and a couple of mates tried to get a "Meadowbank ... wank wank wank! Meadowbank  ... wank wank wank" chant going at Almondvale to piss off the Livi fans. Chant didn't catch on

There are a few of the old Meadowbank fans involved at Edinburgh City. Most of them did not follow the team to Livingston as they were totally against the move. Some had even been banned by the then chairman for protests about the move and a couple who even now refuse to set foot in Almondvale.

I stand to be wrong but I can't see past Airdrie for those playoffs. Stenny have struggled recently, Cove had a bad patch for a couple of weeks but ended a bit better and Queen of the South have been great in the last quarter of the season but I think Airdrie will have too much for any of them. As someone with family in Dumfries and who goes to see Queens if they're at home while we're visiting, that's a pity!

Just seen this. Stenny were actually really good on Saturday and I hoped that would spark belief.

However two minutes in it was clear that Airdrie were a cut above. Some real quality play, they were sharp and slick.

Nobody in the playoffs is touching them. I'm away this weekend which might be good as I can only see a greater defecit coming.

In England Sunderland produced a smash and grab in first leg of Championship play off away at Coventry 2-1. I have a ticket for second leg at stadium of light next Tuesday so happy that game still open.

As an aside it’s annoying that you can travel back from a league game in England mid week on public transport yet only way to do it from a mid week game in Aberdeen is to get a bus that does not get back into Edinburgh until 27 minutes past 2 in the morning.

Game of the day today? BBC live commentary game? Any guesses? @Panda

It has to be Saints v County doesn't it? No way that any objective, impartial broadcaster would show anything else. Which the BBC is, of course.

County make it 2-2 in what appears to be a cracking game. Although pales into insignificance when you hear that the Tims are going through a routine win live on air. Amazing stuff. Imagine being there. Like Pat Bonner.

Edit: Hale offside by a testicle. 2-1 Saints.

I fear County are on a slump which might result in them going down either way.

They go to Dens on Wednesday needing a win (or at least a draw) to keep things in 'their own hands
A saints win at Tynecastle along with a County win at Dens means relegation situation goes to the final day.

Shame Hearts have finally remembered shankland is a striker

I think they'll both lose midweek and it'll go to the final day that way. As those decisive fixtures swing from Saints to County, the BBC will bring us a two hour special on the ups and downs of Barry Ferguson's tenure at Ibrox.

It wasn't the big game of the day though, let's be honest here.

Hardly anyone was at the game, hardly anyone would watch it on TV, and hardly anyone would listen to it on the radio.

If you're claiming you turned on the radio as a neutral desperate to listen to it, I don't believe you. You wanted to know how Hibs were getting on in the battle for third, and the BBC provided you with that service.

I genuinely can't tell if you're being serious.

Seems that someone might have taken your advice after all Rico given it was shown as the lead game on Sportscene highlights 😉
