 Yeah, the late equaliser against the Netherlands was bitter sweet to watch.  I wanted Finland to win but I also want them out ASAP.  If they do progress though he's probably going to need an extra week off when the squad report back for pre season.

I don't think there's an clamour from fans to proclaim a world champion. I think PSG fans are happy enough to say they're the best in France & Europe, and proving they're better than some Brazilian team won't bother them.

The World Cup is special because everyone can qualify for it. This is just another competition Aberdeen can forget about ever being in.

And it's not the best 32 club teams in the world. It's not even the best European teams going.

Hope, just for Infantino, it's a disaster.

Confederations cup was fine as 'the test' for the world cup venues. 

This is pointless and I really hope it is a one off.

Aye we have just had a conversation in the house about Finland going out being a good thing for us. Topi not sent off but Ukrainian captain has been.

Finland lost 2-0 with other game in group at Denmark v Netherlands at 8pm. In other 5pm game England drew with Slovenia.

In all honesty, it’s worse than I expected but not by much. It’s a completely different ball game here. The countries two pro clubs aren’t allowed to play in the comp because they play in the a league. Ironically they can’t play in the Asian cup either because they’re NZ based  

The domestic league is pish and they are all amateurs. Hard to have seen any other outcome imo. One that they should never have had to be exposed to.

Big crowd at the Palmeiras v Porto game.  Both teams had decent chances in opening minutes. Funny to see ref in VAR in full kit.

Been entertaining game this. Pretty much end to end so far. Palmeiras should have scored just before half time but Porto keeper made a fantastic double save then defender cleared third attempt off the line.

Really good game for a 0-0. Palmeiras probably the better team and will probably see that as points dropped.

Chelsea cruise passed LAFC 2-0 in first of tonight games. Looking forward tin Boca v Benfica at 11pm.

Boca fans were making some noise at start of game but roof just come off at 1-0. First shot as well.

2-0 Boca now. Benfica had dominated until first goal and look like collapsing now.

2-1 after a penalty. Probably minimum Benfica deserve as been better team for big parts of first half.

Despite being down to 10 men Otimendi scored with a header to make it 2-2.

Finnished 2-2 with Boca being reduced to 10 near the end with some top quality South American thuggery. Boca also had Herrera sent off after he was subbed off. Players having to be separated at the end. 

Boca fans were brilliant and created some atmosphere.

Still want this to crash and burn but that was great entertainment.

Keskinen starting again for Finland and playing well again but Denmark are 1-0 up. From a purely selfish point of view probably better for Dons that Finland go out tonight.

Finished 2-2 and Finland are out which means Keskinen can now go on holiday and come back fresh for start of season.
