Jute
As a result of numerous trips to San Francisco over the years I have developed an affinity for the various Bay Area sports teams including the San Jose Earthquakes in the MLS. They have had a good start to the season and haven’t conceded in their first three matches winning all three. Tonight is first time had a chance to watch them live. They concede after 19 minutes and are currently losing 1-0. I have decided it’s me that’s the problem. Not clueless managers or shite players just me supporting a team. 4 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1852-todays-fitba/page/506/#findComment-281193

Slim
On the subject of MLS, I see Dante Polvara has been a regular starter at St Louis at left centre back. They're currently sitting winless, rock bottom of their league. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1852-todays-fitba/page/506/#findComment-281201

Didn’t think he looked like he was good enough to play there regularly. That said thought he would do well there as a midfielder in MLS as league isn’t as physical or fast as ours so he would get the time on the ball. This is all on me it has to be. There is no other logical explanation. Was down with my Sunderland supporting mate at their game on Saturday and they lost only their second home game of the season to Brighton. Further evidence that it is me. Oh and San Jose lost 0-1 last night. 1 2 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1852-todays-fitba/page/506/#findComment-281214

wee toon red
You've definitely jinxed it, especially as I'd imagine St Johnstone would be quite happy to take a point. 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1852-todays-fitba/page/506/#findComment-281371

swaddon
I see it's now called Wyre Stadium at Firhill (for thrills). Also, Firhill was the first stadium in Glasgow to host a European Cup fixture when Djurgarden of Sweden played their home game there against the swicking non-champions Hibs who shouldn't have been anywhere near a competition for league winners in 1955 because we won the league, not them, and we would have tanned Real Madrid in the final that year. That's a pub quiz question if there was ever one. Edited March 20 by swaddon Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/1852-todays-fitba/page/506/#findComment-281389
