Seems a bit odd announcing it before season is over. The timing of this is shocking, now we'll have to spend a fortune paying Robinson's contract off Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3330-managers-in-england/page/63/#findComment-284229

swaddon
Michael Carrick has been confirmed as Manchester United's "permanent" manager. Imagine appointing the interim boss as the full time manager. What kind of diddy club would do that? Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3330-managers-in-england/page/63/#findComment-284456
Jute
Manchester City officially confirm Pep Guardiola to step down. Apparently naming the North Stand at the Emptyhad after him. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3330-managers-in-england/page/63/#findComment-284457

Apparently naming the North Stand at the Emptyhad after him. I read something yesterday, about the judgement of the 115 financial charges, against City, are to be made in the next few weeks. I don't follow EPL much and don't follow the story, but I wonder if this has a bearing on his decison to exit. Not that it's an excuse, but the death of Diogo Jota will have had an effect on that club last season. Did they expect to retain the title after that? Jute
Only last week Slot was told to start process of getting in a new coach to add to the back room staff so this seems not to have been something that was on the cards. SSN suggesting that new Sporting Director Richard Hughes who has come in from Bournemouth is man who has made the decision and is looking to appoint out going Bournemouth coach Iraola. People said t the start of last season that if they managed to sign Isak then they would be untouchable yet they have finished 25 points off the top of the league. Slot has just eroded everything that was good in that Liverpool side. Liverpool are a shadow of the team they were under Klopp. The dutch way of passing teams into a slow death reminds me of Van Gaal at Man Utd. Slot's reign had a similar pattern to Thelin at the Dons in that the further on in time things went, with him able to stamp his style on the team and get his players in, the worse they became. BigAl Posted Tuesday at 05:19 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 05:19 Seems the right thread to place this sad piece of news. I grew up with Kevin Keegan being one of my favourite players and it saddens me to see that it is being reported the he has been diagnosed with stage four cancer. A great entertainer on the park and he didn't half put together a decent Newcastle Utd team back in the day. BigAl Posted Tuesday at 11:40 Report Share Posted Tuesday at 11:40 Christ almighty The man that replaced Keegan (Kenny Dalglish) at Anfield has revealed he is being treated for cancer. It really is a bastard of a disease Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3330-managers-in-england/page/63/#findComment-284948
